Even if we make the play offs, it's likely to end in prolonged heartache again. Does anyone seriously see us beating Sheffield utd over two legs or in the final if it's not them in the semis?
Final yes, semis no.

If we do make it there is a damn quick turnaround to getting play off tickets out, 5/6 days between games. Was it that quick 2 years ago?

Main thing working in our favour is all our rivals are away against good teams. We're at home.

Basically if we win, we get in. If we don't I think we miss out as I think at least one of the other results will go against us no matter how unlikely that seems.

It'd be a struggle for Millwall to get a result at Burnley, especially overturning GD (I think for that we'd have to massively shit the bed and if we did Boro would likely get in ahead of them).

Blackburn are a bit of a worry, as SU haven't been great lately and their GD is better.

And Boro we just need to not let them beat us. Trouble is I'm not overly confident that won't happen. At least we're at home.

I'm setting myself up for next Saturday to be very disappointing and ruing not taking our opportunity to book our place before the final game.

If we do get in it's going to be with a whimper than a charge and I can't see us winning them (TBH I can't see us reaching the final).

Not a chance. We really need 5th to get Sunderland.

We need to win and Preston to get something. With the injuries we have and Collins in goal, I’m not sure we’ll get the win. We should, but I’m not sure.
Yep, need Sunderland in the Semis otherwise I think we are out. We can do Sheffield in a one off game, but realistically can’t see us beating them over two legs.

A draw COULD be good enough but we've assumed a fair bit in the last week, mainly that we'd get something at Plymouth and Luton. What should have been virtually settled is still up in the air.

My fear isn't that Millwall will get anything at Burnley. Mine is Sheff U may take it easy - resting a few, or not wanting to risk injuries.

No way Sheff U will want to lose that and then play Blackburn in the play-offs. Helped us putting that good performance in at Boro on the final day before beating them in the play-offs.

It makes it a lot simpler; we have to win. So FL and the players will have no doubts of the task at hand and hopefully that’s motivation they can’t half arse it.

However, the fact we’re in such a high pressured situation considering the hard work over the first few months of the year is a joke.
Don't you mean it makes it a lot simpler IF we win?

I absolutely cannot believe there are people, on Twitter Mainly, that are saying they don’t want play off just incase we lose.

Probably one of the worst opinions I’ve seen. If we get there, then we deserve it. If we get there, we have a chance. Simple as.

Fucking unbelievable how many people are shitting the bed because of these last two game. Get Thomas, EMC and Milan back and let’s have a right good go.

It’s nauseating. Had no idea people were such losers.

Yeh we have weird fans tbh. Sheffield United, Sunderland and Bristol City hardly Barca, Real and PSG is it. We won't be favourites at all but as you say get some players back and we'll have a punchers chance. As long as that punch isn't Collins punching Kitchings head off again.

I’m more confident of beating Sunderland or Bristol than I was Boro in the semis last time. Feel about the same as I did about Luton about Sheff Utd. At least they haven’t fucked us so hard I’m still getting PTSD on behalf of JCS two years later.

There are genuinely fans on Twitter that are convincing themselves they don’t want play offs. It’s absolutely pathetic. Just because of injuries and possibility of playing Sheff U.

Seen someone say they want to lose v Boro and than another say they’d rather finish 7th.

Like I said in above post…possibly the worst take I’ve ever seen. Worked hard all year just to give up now have we? Honestly some fans are unbelievable.

I've got to say I do feel a bit down hearted after the last few games. I can't really get excited about Saturday yet. Hopefully it will change

The one thing I would say is that if we are going to lose or get knocked out of the playoffs on Saturday, I would rather it happens much earlier than the final minute.

That was excruciating yesterday at the death.

Much rather Boro beat us 2 or 3 nil, than have it be 0-0 and us seemingly
set for the playoffs and then they score a breakaway goal to win it, or for it to be that as the games pan out, we find that have to actually beat Middlesbrough and we are 1 nil up as the game peters out and again, in the last minute they equalise

Not sure my heart could take it.

Assuming Bristol C lose to Leeds tomorrow, they will also need a win to guarantee a spot themselves.

Thats true I think it’s probably better to wait till after their game to add the permutations for them as they could well win and be confirmed
Think you have to massively favour Leeds for this game. They will definitely be wanting to go up as champions. At the same time, they can play with a bit of freedom.

I would expect them to win this by a couple of goals at least
