Its more frustrating than usual because he'd played so well until the goal. I'd argue it was even worse than the Burnley one as that was a "to me, to you" moment with Kitching. The Luton goal was sheer madness.

Imagine he plays and makes another howler that costs us a top 6 place.

Yes. I think if Wilson was to play and make a mistake we would accept goal-keeping all season has cost us. If BC plays and makes a mistake then it’s on management

It feels like he’s either so preoccupied with potential mistakes that he plays passively and can’t save anything, or he gets a bit of confidence and then tries do everything himself and makes howlers like Burnley and Luton.

Dovin getting injured is one of the factors.

Poor goalkeeping has only been a contributing factor to a very mediocre away record, though, and that's ultimately what's held us back.

On the whole, I do not think we have been good enough overall this season. You can't lay it all at Brad Collins' door.

If he gets selected then he will be supported during the game.

If he fucks it up and ruins our playoff hopes then it will get very toxic and it’s clear to see that this is not good for his mental health.

Lampard should have to face some fucking tough questions if that happens too.

Time for a worthy Poll
It’s difficult Wilson hasn’t played for ages so I would begrudgingly play Collins he did ok till that stupid rush of blood at the end, I just think we have no choice but to stick with Collins as I think risking someone who hasn’t played in ages might be worse , we are stuck between a rock and a hard place

TBF i thought Binks could have done a lot better than kicking it into his own net. Not all down to Collins and he had played well up to that point.
Agreed, but let's be honest it was all down to Collins' doing

Kitching won the ball very comfortably (and obviously as soon as it was coming toward the box), Collins should have been able to tell

Was he the first choice keeper when Barnsley got into the Championship play offs?

The pressure on wilson will be massive if he does come in. Collins should have been dropped weeks ago - it’s a crazy spot to be in last game of the season fighting for the playoffs.

I wouldn’t want to be Collins or lampard if Collins plays and costs us the playoffs … which is a highly probable scenario…

If Wison plays it might not be the last game of the season!

That's why he MUST play.

Unfortunately he has to play and we all have to get behind him from the start one (hoping 4) last time and I think 99% of people will do that. If he costs us though……….,,,,,,

I abstain from voting because, while I don't want him to play, I equally recognise that he probably should - throwing Wilson or even Bell in without them being near the pitch for months (or ever in Bell's case) leaves Lampard open to even more criticism if they fuck up, and both of those options would probably mean we'd have to adapt the way we play given that we rely on Collins to be a passing option at the back.

I don't honestly think there's a right answer to this :(
