*I joke of course, Britain will always be superior to America and honestly you can't beat a Spoons curry and a random game pickup from CEX for console you haven't turned on in 10 years.

Have they broken any rules? I’ve not been paying much attention but have they spent more than Birmingham this year?

It's not always just about how much the club spends tbf, it's the bending of the rules rather than the breaking of them. The club, like Stockport, probably can't afford big fees on signing fees or goal bonuses etc. But a big Hollywood star can afford (off the books) to tale the entire squad to Vegas with his own money for a promotion party. Now that won't go down as club expenses and hinder their ffp. So which club is more likely to attract players? The one that'll pay you a weekly wage? Or the one that'll offer you a weekly wage and a free, all expenses paid trip to Vegas?

I can think of another club whose fanbase this applies to!

Wrexham is a town full of Man Utd, Liverpool and Celtic fans who didn’t give a fuck when they were in National League. They definitely had a hardcore though that backed them no matter what division, same as our 9000 in League 2.

Coventry/surrounding areas has a fair amount of glory hunting twats. Plenty of Liverpool wannabes in Leamington, Kenilworth and wider Warwickshire, ironic as the football club they claim to support (watch on the tele) is from a city that hates trust fund tories.

Watch the documentary... if you can bear it.... R&R helping pay for little environmental projects, art support, cultural initiatives and investment in town is growing as a knock on effect. Its sweet really but may very quickly get annoying like Bournemouth, Brighton and Palace - at least its the north rather than growing trend of southern clubs dominating the PL. Better than the money invested by dodgy characters I guess. Prefer to do it our way although less $exy i suppose. Funny thing is some of their deluded fans think they are going to cruise through Championship, build a 55k stadium and that they will soon fill it They forget they have a dinosaur manager and have Fatty James waddling around the midfield. Sam Smith up front is potentially some player though and quite like Rathbone in midfield but they will find Championship very hard to start with. They will invest though. Rumours they like Asante... we should slap a £5m price tag on him!!!!

If it wasnt thrust upon us so much in the media i think most people would praise the way the owners have built the club since they took over, both the club itself and the community. Issue is all we hear about is the media pandering to them at every opportunity which makes them the lower league Liverpool for popularity among football fans.

There is also the small matter of the clubs without celebrity tycoons being denied promotion because Disney FC want to pay silly money in the lower leagues.

I think ultimately they are just slightly embarrassing, you get the arrogance that suddenly swoops through a fan base that comes with this which makes them unlikeable and you get Yanks latching on to it and lets face it, no one really likes yanks. But then, I think Ryan Reynolds is a lot more likeable than that cringey geezer with the egg shaped head at Blues for example and really there's way too many clubs that i will hate coming into this league next season to waste perfectly good hatred on a small club from Wales who are a bit of a one off.
We're going to have (assuming we don't go up) Leicester, Birmingham, one or possibly both of Sunderland/Blunts... just writing those down makes me feel a bit sick. Luton too are a ratty little club.

A friend of mine said yesterday that Wrexham are a bigger club than both Cov and Pompey.

I told him it was his worst take of all time.

They've got more social media followers and their revenues are looking good but they're not even the 2nd biggest team in Wales.

I've had bigger farts , their all time average attendance is 6000 , ours is over 17,000

I enjoyed the first season of the documentary, the second I found fairly hard to watch, mostly because the newer fans have massive egos and believe their going to walk the championship and be in prem after a season in the championship.
But fair play to R&R for looking like they actually care about the club and the surrounding area, but honestly I think they'll struggle after L1. They were big players down there, now their entering into leagues with serious money being thrown around. As it's been said, their manager is very 'old school' which works at the lower levels, but a player on 20k a week, isn't going to put up with being constantly sworn at.

At one point they were dealing with awful owners and nearly ended up out of business. They were saved by their fans so I don't begrudge those who were there then 1 bit of success.

Budget wise though the pair of them will be comparable to the parachute teams - so it’ll be how that’s spent and what players they can attract that will be key. And that’s just from revenues - apparently Wrexham shirt sales is on a premier league level cos of the documentary - absolutely crazy.
Personally when I’ve watched them Birmingham outclassed Wrexham at St Andrews and Wrexham are generally shit (which is a sad indictment of how crap league one is generally) - even Charlton pretty much outplayed them on Saturday just Wrexham got their three on target in the net.

My daughter had a sports day and I was away, I phoned her to ask how it went, she said good and I want a manure top . I shouted down the phone and said NEVER EVER SAY THEM WORDS AGAIN !!! Then she cried and mum got on the phone and asked what was said so I told her straight ( because I’m brave like that 200 miles away) . Now when she’s home with her boyfriend (Cov kid) they go up the game. The moral of this story is - if you make/let your child wear a non Coventry City shirt it’s Fucking Child abuse and you should have your balls cut off !

Wrexham are punching above their weight due to rich owners. Their size will catch up with them eventually, although not for sometime unfortunately. Brum are slightly different as they have a massive catchment.
I would put Brum behind us and West Brom at the moment but their money may tip the scales.
In the PL, we will have caught up with Wolves who we were level with in the late 60s.
Brum with a new massive ground and us potentially with a ground too small for us that we do not own will be a drag on our potential.
We need richer owners and keep having good mangers and good recruitment.
