Apologies if theres another post like this, but who do you think was the Man Of The Match last night against Preston? I think it was McSheffery, as his runs opened the door for many chances for us. He fell off a bit suring his last 10 minutes but overall i was very impressed with him. And who disapointed you last night? For me it was Fleck. His passing as sloppy and he always rushed things when he didnt realise he had plenty of time. I think he should have been more aware, but at the end of the day, its an important match and he was probaly nervous, but i wasnt impressed. What do you guys think?

Sheff or Jordan Clarke, really don't understand the hate Jordan was getting last night, was fairly solid at the back, looked threatening going forward (and the way he took that ball out of the air off his shoulder to pass back to Murphy was amazing, flukey but amazing)

Baker was consistant throughout the game, scored one and set up another. A great performance by him, just what we need form our skipper. Moussa changed the game. He brough in some much needed pace and ripped Preston to shreds. Clarke was underrated last night. He made a few mistakes, including being too fancy in his own box and giving away a corner because of it, but alround, he was solid and he did better than Christie would have done in the same position

L. Clarke got MOTM from Sky tbf. I wouldn't say that is far from the mark, he got into good positions, should've scored 1st half and I'm glad he got the winner, especially as their keeper said "They'll miss McG" sent a statement that we've got a player who is capable of scoring.

J. Clarke had a good game too, I echo CovisGod's comments about the 'hate' he's receiving.

Jennings was bright, tackled anything that had the ball in midfield, got forward quite a lot as well, he should've scored but scored the first goal which was well taken.

Sheff had a good 1st half, weren't as good 2nd.

Baker was good, got a goal, could've got a goal when he was kinda through on goal, but missed a difficult chance and nearly scored a good freekick.

Lets not hide the fact it was a disappointing performance nonetheless. We just beat a poor PNE side. Great to get a win v Westley though!

Jordon or Leon or Clarke for me.

JC had the PNE player in his pocket clearly learnt lessons from Bale!

LC worked all night, very impressive!

its about opinions, and im normally a baker fan , but until the 92nd minute i thought he had a poor game . Clarke MOM for me (Leon) - was a giant - no he has not got such a delicate touch as mcgoldrick, but thought he was a giant last night

sheff i agree also had a great game

Baker or J Clarke. Baker never stopped all game. And I didnt see any crosses from Jordans side of the pitch.

Leon was severely average apart from the goal, for a player of his height he rarely gets on the ball - plus didnt show the effort to close down like Elliott does.

I'd like to see Elliott start the next game. Nothing against Clarke, but i dont think Elliott has been given a proper chance. Goldie got suspended and Elliott scored twice at MK Dons, yet he's still dropped tot he bench. I get that Goldie was the star man and he was obviously gonna be brought back, but now he's gone and Clarke looked a little wobbly last night, we should give Elliott his chance. He could be DMG mark 2

You're an idiot and you don't help yourself. You've gotta be a 'WUM'.

He's just scored a goal and you're saying he should get dropped!?

Clarke has 11 in 15 for Scuny, who are 23rd and are shit, and hasn't played since November 24th (bar NYD) and still hasn't been knocked off the top 5 goalscorers! You don't score that many if you aren't half decent at finishing at this level.

How am i an idiot. Yes, he scored and he got into some great positions, but he missed 3 sitters. Its his first home game and he's bound to be nervous, but i dont see why Elliott is being kept ont he bench. Why not play BOTH? Theres 11 places on that team. That way we have more options and Clarke doesn have to do ti all on his own

3 sitters? What are you smoking? What 3 'sitters' did he miss yesterday!? He missed a 1v1 that is it!

We have 11 places, 1 place for striker and our best striker is Clarke, that's not my opinion, it is fact (based on goals scored and goals:game ratio). We play better with 5 in midfield, that is fact (won more games playing 5 in midfield) and if you saw who scored, Clarke scored 1 goal, Jennings and Baker scored the others, so quite clearly, he doesn't do it on his own. You don't know what you're talking about!

Oh dont i? Get this. I'm voicing my opinion. I dont care if you like it or not. Clarke had the chip chance, the one on one and another chance that went begging. Yes, we play better with 5 in mid, but if you dont take risks, you dont get a reward. Personally, i think Elliott deserves a shot

HAHAHAHAAHAHAH BEST JOKE OF THE DAY

i love threads like this, shows me how superior my football knowledge is to others.

what a fanboy you are

You call me a fanboy, yet I've said on numerous occasions, that Christie is better than Clarke

Aren't we talking about the same person who thinks Andre Santos is good!? Wow.

How did Baker play better than Clarke? Want to show your 'superior' football knowledge, go on.

I guess you was treated to the SKY analyst weren't you...

Is it the school holidays? Seems like a few kids in here bickering and then reporting posts when somebody says something to them?

I didn't report your post, I'm on iPad version so I don't even think I can report posts

You're not giving him the credit he deserves, so I defend him, because he played ok v Sours, and played v well yesterday.

People voted Baker because his goal equalised and his deflected shot led to the winner, both were lucky, but no more lucky than PNE had got!

Clarke have a solid, and composed defensive display as well as being a useful attacking output as well, his assist for the 2nd was a very good decision and I fear, had it been Christie, he would've blasted it or misplaced a cross. Christie and Clarke are 2 good RBs and only 1 can start, and as of late, Clarke has played well, Christie hasn't! Simple formula. I have been one of Clarke's biggest critics (not on SBT because I weren't a member then...)

WUM? Ha, ironic because people actually call you a WUM.

Oh, you still haven't said why you have 'superior' football knowledge...

For me Baker and Macca were the stand out performers and Fleck and JClarke were both poor. Clarke let their danger man Holmes roam all night and looked scared to put a tackle in, he also gives the ball away a lot and chooses the safe option too often. Get Christie back in, yes he has made a couple of defensive errors recently but going forward he links up superbly with Baker and at least attempts to take on his man

He let his man roam? What's he supposed to do? Follow him? No, if you are a RB, you stay on the right side of defence as it's your jurisdiction, he becomes someone else's problem, else the LB wil exploit the space! That isn't defending Clarke, that is general knowledge of the RB. In defence you should have disciplined positioning.

You are a Christie 'fanboy', thank CC4L for coining that term, Christie is inferior defensively to Clarke, and in the crossing department, Christie is more direct in going forward with the ball and links up with Baker well, but Clarke can whip in a cross from further out, and has done it well last 2 games, some of our best chances in those 2 games have come from Clarke. Both are even in the goalscoring department (I think both have 2 for CCFC, but Clarke got them in Championship, Christie, v Walsall (good goal) and v a Sunday league side). I genuinely think we have 2 brilliant options in this department. I think Christie could be turned into a decent right-footed LB, he likes to cut in when he attacks.

You are being obnoxious

I have already posted many times why I did not ratebclarkes performance but because you don't agree you just post your own reasons and label those who disagree as haters

That is a fanboy action

You are saying most ppl in this thread have been blinded by bakers goal and that Clarke was better theyjjust don't see it

Yet you have issue with me calling myself superior?!

Pot.kettle.black

P.s I haven't reported either

I'm being obnoxious!? It's only you and LJC who are a vocal minority said Clarke was poor? He wasn't Dani Alves, but he certainly weren't Stephen Wright!!! He put in a good shift and if MR thinks he didn't, I'm sure he'll replace him with Christie, I suppose on Sunday we'll see what he thought of Clarke's performance.

I thought Baker was ok until stoppage time then stepped it up, he scored from a brilliant assist from Clarke and set up Leon from a shot of his, other than that, I can only think of that tackle (covering Clarke's mistake tbf, but he's had to do for Christie quite a lot also) and the almost-brilliant free-kick, he may have had a good cross, but I'm unsure whether that was Clarke or Baker (they both looked similar on the far side).

I do have a problem with you proclaiming you have 'superior' knowledge than I, especially when you can't give examples.

I honestly didn't report your post, I'm not into that shit, and I've said I'm on a version where I can't do that and if you feel the need to report back, shows how low you're stooping. I didn't even know my post was reported actually, I have to say, I don't really care either.

Vocal minority.
