i seen this but as people say there are not quotes its a few lines with no substance. Having said that, i would not be suprised based on the shinanigans going on at the club recently!! I think this would be the last straw particualrly after the conference speech the other day

Hi guys what you seem to be forgetting is that at the press conference money was only secured upto the end of the season. This point alone makes me believe this is true. Also after reading the Sisu post on the other thread it looks like we are going to have a hell of a job getting rid of these shisters. At least I feel confident they will not cough up the money to buy the Ricoh.

Coventry City will have to let their better players go in order to help the Sky Blues cash crisis.
The club have staved off administration thanks to an £8m cash injection from SISU which was received by the club at 10.30am on Monday morning, but still need £4-5m to see out the rest of the season and Mr Dulieu has said that some players may be allowed to leave at the end of the season in order to ease the financial burden.
Speaking about Keiren Westwood who is out of contract on July 1st to Sky Sports, Mr Dulieu said: "On the playing side, Keiren is a quality, quality player and I think if someone comes in from the Premiership, which I expect they will, then it will be tough for Coventry to hold onto someone of that calibre.
Mr Dulieu also told the press conference that City would not be buying Ronaldo.
As we understand it rightly or wrongly, the following City players are out of contract on July 1st: Keiren Westwood, Danny Ireland, Michael Quirke, Nathan Cameron, Stephen O'Halloran, Isaac Osborne, Aaron Einar Gunnarsson, Michael McIndoe, Lee Carsley, Shaun Jeffers, Callum Wilson, Clive Platt and Marlon King.

Taking this with a pinch of salt. I can't help but remember Leonard Brody saying he thought promotion was possible within 2 seasons, and if he was serious about that, there's no way that this can be true. Now that goal, we all know, is pretty unrealistic- we know he's not a football man. But you don't need to be a football man to know that selling off good players won't make you any better!

There might just be some truth in the article. It was said at the PC that more money was needed and that it was uncertain the club would avoid administration in the summer if new investors were not found.
That said I can't help feel a bit puzzled by the hate against SISU. They have already poured more money into this club than the original business plan called for and finding extra funds within a hedge fund is not as easy as some here seem to think.
You really can't blame them for not just play the old time football sugardaddy who support a club with his passion. SISU are not that type of owner - they are investors. Have been all along and are not going to change.
If more money are needed they are not obliged to just write checques with big smiles on their faces. And if they can't find the money from their own investment circles and can't find new investors, then the only way to raise cash is by selling players. The bills have to be paid at some point.
SISU are not 'asset strippers' - they don't sell assets and pocket the money. The sell to keep the club going.

We are told that SISU put £8m into the club last week. If they were to sell every single player who is contracted to us, do you really think it would raise that much? So for a "cut and run" policy, they'd have been better off walking away last week and letting the club go into administration.
My worry is that Ken D persuaded them to invest the extra against their better judgement and that we'll end up dying the death of a thousand cuts, as they try to stop their losses increasing too rapidly. If that's the case, we'll end up in administration anyway and SISU will be left with a bigger write-off.
I think that we're all united in hoping against hope for some new investors to come in.

I know Ken Deleau quite well. He's a nice enough chap but he's not the guy that you want at the helm when going through choppy seas. Believe me he has no commitment to the club and I'm not really sure what he's doing here!
SISU I'm sure have leant their lesson and will not get involved with a club like ours again. Football is not a normal business SISU have tried to treat it like that and have fallen over.
Unless someone comes in and buys us up within the next 2-3 months we will go into administration and get doc 10 points.

It completely contradicts the statement about "Premiership in 2 years", but hints to the obvious player sales in the summer. They do it every year, why would this one be any different? Turner, Sammy and Lukas would all find takers in this division at a bargain price. Maybe we'll do a BOGOF???

Well the majority of our top players will be leaving on a free anyway, and the other mentioned big player is Ben Turner, who im afraid, has only had half a good season in his career, so we could probably get 500/600k tops for him? Likewise for Jukewicz.
They may be our big stars, but they arent big stars from the outside.
SISU are assest stripping, and the problem is we wont have anything left, and not a whole lot to show for it. :blue:
