just a few examples,
On the video & audio section on the bbc website there is never any post match interviews with Robins.
The football league show puts us on last.
They don't have correspondents at our games
On Final Score Mark Twatter's doesn't even mention our goals going in. Had FS on in the background whilst doing paperwork for Doncaster game, still thinking its 0-0, went into living room and we're 1-3 up.
Why the vendetta? cunts

Been going on for years with city! If we are doing shit the media are all over it. I like how we are quietly going about our season!

Dont worry about it - It keeps us under the radar! You know what happens when the media gets behind us (we cock it up!) ;)

Is this whole thing some joke I don't get?

Seriously do people really think the bbc are anti Coventry?

How pathetic. Get a grip.

We're in league one, we get as much coverage as we deserve.

So how come when they put league one highlights on we never are the team being shown? If they gonna do highlights then why not us? Thats all the OP was saying,no need to call people pathetic for sharing a view on a forum. We all just want to see more of our team on the box,a little acknowledgement that we are doing well instead of F*%k all.

Eh? I just watched the Football League show and they showed our game, then Manish said 'Coventry continuing their terrific run under Mark Robins'

What do you expect? A 10 minute analysis of the game?

They're not anti coventry. You're deluded. We got a special mention yet again, we were last on because every other game had a team placed higher in the league. Who gives a fuck.

Nah, not anti-coventry. Our games just aren't as exciting apparently, because we always win! :D
Watching the Coventry-Preston game on Sky Blues Player with the sky commentary, I realised that they were very pro-coventry. Constantly talking about McSheffrey's quality, and how we are so good.

The FL show is a bit poor, tbh, but our coverage/profile on evening BBC is pretty good, even though the factual information is a bit sparse.

When I was young, Midlands TV coverage of sport was all Wolves, Derby, Forest and Villa. We were the Cinderella club down the road. The problem is, we are not in the East Midlands, and we are not central enough to the West Midlands to get main coverage..

Still, they will jump on the bandwagon if we make Wembley!!!

Check the Sky Sports report of our game, their "correspondent" said the game was at Boundary Park  Well, he had a 50/50 chance of getting it right :claping hands:

Perhaps some fans are just paranoid? Who cares anyway?

the way i look at it is who cares what media we get as long as we do the buiss, also although i live in cov if people ask if i am west or east mids i say neither i am no a bummie or a darby/ leicster scum i am from warwickshire - and we are not associated with that shower of shite ( my spelling may be abit poor though lol )

The BBC coverage of the Tottenham - Coventry game was very pro-Tottenham, not saying it was anti-Coventry but our players were called "The Goalkeeper, The Defender" Robins was called "The Manager" and we were informed as to the story behind Tom Huddlestone's hair!

Not saying anyone is anti-coventry but the coverage on any channels has been awful. Non of the goals on sky were reported on yesterday. Unfortunatly the media are money based, when seen the cup draw i thought Spurs vs Cov was a tasty tie but obviously not. West Ham vs Man United!! You can watch that every week on sky. Its annoying because they are not promoting football in this country.

I can't say this as a statement of fact, but I think it's related to the "celebrity" value.
We had lots of media coverage when in the top-flight & had a good player(e.g. Mark Hateley, Danny Thomas, Gary McCallister), or champagne Charlie manager(e.g. Big Ron, Gordon Strachan, Gary McCallister). These types are always followed around & bigged-up - we just don't have anyone like that on the national stage. Mostly, we're unfashionable from the media perspective. You get used to it.

T.v coverage has changed loads since we were in the top flight we would get 3/4 games a season at max. Then again with more tv coverage across the board (fa cup, league cup, jpt, champions league and europa league) unless you play against the top six of the premier league your not going to be on. Or if their not playing on a jpt night then you might get a chance. Then again when we beat united few years back we were looked over! Football is being monopolised by the big teams they are getting more and we are getting less. Look a Celtic and Rangers!

If anything, the Beeb's coverage of CCFC (and Coventry itself) has improved greatly since the BBC Open Centre/BBC CWR opened up in the City Centre. There was at least one report on us on Midlands Today last week.

Apparently the producer is a Sunderland fan. Still holds a grudge and if had his way wouldn't have us on at all.

I think the reporting standards drop the further down the leagues you go. I think someone mentioned above about the game being reported as taking place at Boundary Park - that kind of stuff seems to happen alot, silly little things like getting the ground wrong, getting the goalscorer wrong, etc...........they just dont particularly care. kind of stuff that wouldnt happen in the Premiership games.

But I dont think its any different for us then other teams. FL Show and most highlight packages run the games in order of team positions in the league. They always seem to say a little something about us after the goal highlights have been on. may not be as much as we would like to see, or as we would have had in the past - but its more then most of the other teams in our division get.

I live in cornwall and can't even listen to BBC local radio on the net on match days! Is that fair!
