My stepsons are Ipswich supporters and they don't rate him at all - a bit of a donkey. Certainly wouldn't want to see him at the Ricoh!!

Don't think he would fit in. I think I would much prefer Robert Earnshaw. Who is on his way to us if the rumours are to be believed. He was at the Ricoh to watch Tranmere game last Wednesday.

Scotland is a class player, and is nothing like Leon Clarke. He is far more comfortable on the ball than Clarke. Tends to be a bit like Stern John at times, lazy, but a cracking finisher. ;)

Oh Fernando please learn to read "Could we afford his wages?" might be a bit of a clue that I still think overall wages are a problem - still don't let the facts get in the way of your petty prejudices eh? ;)

Again Fernando please learn to read - the key word is "overall" ie the total wage bill. Let me explain it in simple terms to you: if we let some surplus (unwanted) players go and save money on the wage bill that lowers the wage bill, which is a good thing. If we recruit a player who would improve the team yet his wages are less than those of the players that have left that is a good thing as well. So we would have an "overall" lower wage bill, got rid of some surplus players and brought in a player to improve the team. Hope that explains things more clearly for you.

The premise of your earlier posts are that the overall wage bill as it stands is too high.

And it does stand too high - that is why the club is losing millions every season. But as I tried to explain its the overall figure that is important and if we can recruit better players whilst still lowering the overall wage bill then so much the better - is that so hard a concept to grasp?

Hi Mate, i think Class is abit far fetched! He's so class ipswich are letting him go, cov have had their fair share of has beens and we dont need another, everyone always name drops when someone is free.

Scotland has played in Div1,Championship, and Premier.....and IS Class in comparison to what is in the div 1 atm.

Scotland netted a 78th minute penalty kick against Plymouth Argyle on 10 March 2009, his 50th goal for Swansea in all competitions[14]



And everyone was raving that McG was a God and would score 30 goals in this league......To put the record straight..I never said I wanted him at CCFC...I simply stated that imo, he is Class compared to anything in our league atm!

Tbh m8 I think McG found his level at Cov in this Division. I may be wrong, but I don't see him getting more than 6-7 goals in the Championship with Ipswich.;)

I don't even see him playing that often for Ipswich this season, was subbed for Chopra on Sat. No one up here is very impressed with MCG, though to be fair McCarthy is playing him in 4 4 2, which perhaps doesn't suit him as much as our game did.

That was nearly 6 years ago, he hasn't had a prolific season since, and he's 33, so no doubt he's in decline - no thanks!
