Coventry City boss Mark Robins has confirmed he's not interested in former Ipswich striker Jason Scotland, but is keen to strengthen.

I doubt this is true. Would think MR has no interest in taking an Ipswich cast off replaced by our own Davis McGoldrick! Imagine if he did and that went belly up....he'd look a bit foolish to say the least. Nah nothing in this but this is football and you never know what is round the next corner.

Watch Scotland go to one of our close rivals now, score loads, and everyone start saying we should have signed him.

In all honesty can't see him wanting to be a backup and that is what he would be.

Yeah we're not interested in him robins has said why another striker when robins only likes to play one striker and we have Elliot on the bench who scored goals but can't make the starting line up

Not disagreeing with your point about signing anyone else but I can see Robins potentially playing Elliot AND Clarke in the coming weeks as he looked good playing in the hole in the last game and is staking a claim to start with each passing week.

Anyway there is no point in bringing in another striker unless MR thinks they are better than what we already have. Also we only play one up front.

We must get a new striker in and Robins knows it and will be on the case, no doubt.
Without one our challenge is in danger of petering out.
I expect Robins to be looking for 2 or 3 newbies = 1 striker, 1 defender minimum and a striker/winger too. Probably loans.

Why???

We have two strikers for one spot. Both with between 1:2 & 1:3 goals:games ratio.

We're also in need in other areas (CB,LB,AM) so why wate the wages?0

He wasn't born in Coventry so I thought you'd be happy.

Released Blues striker Jason Scotland is in talks with League One Coventry City about a move to the Ricoh Arena. Scotland's Town contract was settled by mutual consent at the weekend.

If he joins the Sky Blues, the 33-year-old would be filling the shoes of new Town signing David McGoldrick, who scored 17 goals in 26 games during a loan spell there from Nottingham Forest before Christmas.
Doncaster and Wolves were previously understood to be the frontrunners for the Trinidadian's signature, while Barnsley, Brighton and Preston had been monitoring his situation. Scottish reports have also linked Dundee.
