Knobend on pitch (5 Viewers)

If thats true, its ridiculous. So many of these people who come on the pitch will just wander around there as long as they can and what, everyone is meant to just stand and watch it happened?

If they are instructed that then fair enough its more down to the people instructing them - but I doubt thats true, based on the fact that eventually a shed load of them did run on the pitch
I was a steward in the West Stand at the old place for several years and that was the instruction from Rankin (ex copper)
who was in charge of security.
Just think in recent years if you have seen any games on TV (football, cricket.. any sport really) when the knob end runs on the pitch unlike the old "Keystone Cops" chases that you would see in the 70's and 80's they have their moment of fame and then get nabbed by the stewards when they try to get back into the crowd.
The TV cameras don't even show people that go on the pitch usually to help to prevent them from being glorified on MOTD or whatever.

Im trying to remember the Arsenal away game - I seem to remember the stewards being on pretty lively for that guy? so when they did run on in the end, they were going against instruction?

At the end of the day, I do agree its not an easy job - and its the fan who is the idiot

Even he got bored. He expected adulation, got a kick from one of our players, then tried to start on him.

Ban the prick.

:claping hands::claping hands::claping hands: Guy was a total moron who did nothing to help our players, the sooner the fat bastard gets back in his armchair and lets the real fans enjoy watching City win the better!:jerkit:

I was right in front of it and the only reason he got booked is because of the Crewe players reaction, which I do think is a bit pathetic really. If any of our stewards had reacted within the first 60 seconds it wuoldnt have needed the players to try and trip the tosser up.

Matt, I noticed that as well.

I didnt see the tossers number but one of the Crewe players was in the ear of the ref, staright after trying to get him sent off. Disgrace.

The streaker should be boiled in his own p*ss

It is bad that it was up to the players to grab him and force him off. What if he had a knife? I wouldn't have blamed one of the players for whacking him as they are just defending themselves at the end of the day!

Just made a twat of himself and wasted time we needed to try and get a goal back. As for sending Christie off for that limp challenge...........the worlds gone fucking mental !!

Fair play to Christie for trying to trip him up, one of our party said he should of been sent off for kicking the guy and it was as bad as Hazard.... nothing like an over reaction.

In my opinion Christie attempted to trip him like so many other football/rugby players in the past and didn't deserve the booking, for pities sake i've seen players physically wrestle pitch invaders to the ground before and get a pat on the back for it, I think the ref was just looking for something to do as he was farly ineffective all night and should of been waving the yellow at Crewe's 'keeper for time wasting.

A jail sentence is what he deserves really, or they should bring back national service for scruffs like that. Should never be allowed to watch a sporting event again, not even on the tele. Definitely not a real football fan.

Why are the stewards stood at the side of the pitch waving for him to come off and then wait for the players to grab him then run on the pitch?

Then walk him out like they have just wrestled an out of control hulk hogan to the floor?

In the background of the video you can see the crewe players surrounding the ref to try and get Christie sent off.

There was a particularily nasty incident at the Wycombe game earlier in the week when a "fan" ran onto the pitch and jumped onto the goalies back as he was about to take a goal kick.
Again, as in the Kirkland incident where he was thumped - the goalie is oblivious to the moron/cowards presence as he was running on the pitch behind him before he is felled.
What if one of these twats had a knife, you never know these days, this wanker that came on last night could possibly have turned on Cyrus and seriously injured him.

In that picture I can't work out if he's squaring up to Christie or appealing as if he's an innocent victim. Either way it's hilarious, is he revelling in his new-found infamy yet?

Sorry, probably due to my wobbly hands.
