Look at the alternative though. Keep pumping money into something we see no return on? At least the first cost of 30 million will eventually get recovered from games, food, shop and other things it could host - small gigs etc. Not every event is big enough for the Ricoh. A smaller stadium could be the answer for them. The best thing is the money would stay within the same organisation.

People are kind of missing the point. All SISU would have to do is move just outside the city boundary and they would not have to put plans before the city council. 200 yards north of the ricoh you are in a different local authority, you could build one at Warwick Uni and still be in the Coventry urban area but technically outside the city. You could build an access road from the A46 to Brandon Stadium and CCC could do feck all about it.

In that sense it is feasible, and there is no issue with raising the money I suspect. It isn't quite as pie in the sky as it seems. It almost certainly won't happen I know, but it could happen if SISU decided they wanted it to, the only issue would be nimby opposition, so the whole project could take years. For that reason it is probably silly talk, because no way the club could survive playing at Hinckley or Rushden for that length of time.

SISU have no intention of spending that kind of money on a football club FFS, they refuse to pay anything more than the basic £10K MATCH FEE. When are people going to wise up to the fact that they are purely bullies who are out of their depth in running a football club. They are a disaster in every sense at this game. All this bullshit is to deflect attention from any part they have played in MR's departure.

The majority of players we have signed this season have been of a good standard, I've never brought this 'bargain in' nonsense, because it's not true, compare any team to CCFC, and we have a team that is just as good as it, we've beaten the top 3. Credit to the board, they've back our managers this year as well as any team in the division.

We spent money on Barton, signing fees for the other 16-17 players, easy to forget this.

Even if fans think the players are shit, the players the management sign are accountable to the manager, not the board, they just let the management get their man, unless you're Abramovic.

Remember, there are FFP rules to contend with, we can't spend willy nilly or we'll be placed in an embargo, and potentially worse e.g. Swindon, who got lucky.

It would've been interesting to see who MR would've brought in this summer, but we don't, so he's had to work within limits because AT would've spent a large bulk of the amount we're allowed, with wages, signing on fees, agent fees, loan fees etc. etc.

What's the obsession with the fact our team was free? What difference does it make? Are they a good team or not? Have they gone from the relegation zone to touching distance of the play offs via record away wins and a semi final in front of a record crowd or not? A good team is a good team, you don't need to look at the price tag.

SBT when looking at next year FFP you have to build in a couple of things extra into the equation assuming we are still in L1

- the %age of turnover is lower
- turnover is likley to be lower
- unlikely to have large value sales in the summer ala Keogh and Bigirimana
- we have a number of expensive (relative to L1) players on long term contracts that will seriously eat into any budget
- a number of the younger players will no longer be exempt from the calculation

Going to be interesting to see how they juggle the figures

1) Have the stands closer to the pitch for a better atmosphere
2) Have a lower roof for better atmosphere
3) Lower the capacity for better atmosphere
4) Make the away stand in one of the corners rather than behind the goal
5) Make it with the same style of seats and leg room at Stadium:MK
6) Have a viewing balcony from the kiosk similar to Stadium:MK
7) Would we be able to pick up and relocate the JH statue?
8) Build it near to a train station

Just some ideas.

It would take 6 months to design, same again for land acquisition and planning and a further year at least to build...............and where exactly ?? Its an utterly embarrassing stunt from a desperate organisation who are hell bent on prolonging the joke status they are embellishing on our football club. They could have paid the rent on the lower agreement of £400k on the unbudgeted revenue we received from Arsenal and Spurs alone !!.......they are playing high stakes games to the detriment of the football club. They came to Coventry in 2007 with the goal of acquiring and profiting from a large slice of CV6 and leaving with a fistful of cash, they've failed and cannot accept it !
