Is there a (realistic) fans' choice for manager? (3 Viewers)

Putting aside the long-shots like Adkins, do we feel that there is genuinely a fans' choice candidate who the majority are keen on? Last time I seem to remember that being Wise, before MR got the job. I don't get the same feeling now.

I'd like Coyle but doubt he will come here.

Megson would be a solid but unspectacular choice.

Wouldn't say no to Tisdale or Trollope, or Sean Dyche for that matter.

Steve Kean - not my personal choice but he has been mentioned by some. Wouldn't surprise me as he was employed by the only owners worse than SISU !!

I'd give a second chance to any out of Adams, Black, Coleman, Nilsson or Thorn.

Nightmare scenario is Alex McCliesh. Steve Cotterill would be on my "no no" list too, along with McClaren. The name Gareth Southgate also makes me shudder, as does Staunton. Jewell has also cocked up too many times for me.

Phil Brown would actually be ok in my opinion, I liked him when he was at Hull.

Agree with half of your post, I however would prefer to chew my own nuts off than have Thorn back as manager

untill the club has got the accounts unfrozen and sorted out a rent deal. I don't see any point of trying to get a new manager because only the desperados will be interested !!!

No chance on Nick Barmby he left hull because he wasn't getting proper backing and he went public saying that. He's someone who wants to buy lots of players which we can't do

This is a wind up isn't it?

Would not touch any of them except Black with a barge pole. In fact most of them would drive me away completely. Terrible list.

I'm not winding anyone up - I do get fed up by people going "urgh no way" when pretty much any manager is mentioned

I know it wouldn't be a popular decision, but I'd go for Megson. He did a great job at West Brom, and Owen Coyle proved what a good job Megson did at Bolton. He's universally disliked, but I think that's more to do with his eminently punchable face rather than to do with his ability.

Megson struggled at Sheffield Wednesday. When he left there results picked up and they got promoted. No thanks.

Carsley till the summer is realistic.

Actually SISU could be really smart and do a great bit of PR

Appoint Di Canio who has left a club who renaged on financial promises.
We lost Robins due to rent issue.

Sends a message that there are no financial issues at CCFC.

But to do this the funds would have to come from somewhere else due to accounts being frozen.

I'd like Tisdale.

I wouldn't really like Black, Brown, McAllister, Megson, Dowie or any other one of our ex-managers. We should look forward, not back.

I'd even give Morrell a go.
