CCFC Finance Director
As posted yesterday by others here Aidey Boothroyd (on Radio 5)blamed the dismal results on ....
Because King injured...."Had to go with a striker who was inexperienced and couldn't hack it"
Now it is only part of the conversation and out of context, but what a statement to come out with.
Clearly he was implying Jutkiewicz was not up to the job........ strange because I dont think many think he isnt playing well currently (ok needs more goals but that will come). AB's preferred option up front was Platt, he kept playing him when all and sundry thought he was at best limited. The young lad was in and out of the team, moved around the pitch, rarely finished a game but it was down to him ? REALLY ?
Very disappointed to read the comments AB made. Used to like his "honesty" in interviews. But this shows to me what a blinkered unseeing approach he took. He had his plan come hell or high water and just didnt see the players. He was inflexible in thought and probably in the dressing room too. This is even more emphasised by the difference between the AB team and the AT team. Same players but worlds apart ! So AB what is it that has changed at CCFC that now makes us an attractive, reasonably successful team ?!!!
AB regularly preached about players taking responsibility......... "physician heal thy self" comes to mind
just wanted to get that off my chest
