Not my fault it was because........ (1 Viewer)

As posted yesterday by others here Aidey Boothroyd (on Radio 5)blamed the dismal results on ....

Because King injured...."Had to go with a striker who was inexperienced and couldn't hack it"

Now it is only part of the conversation and out of context, but what a statement to come out with.

Clearly he was implying Jutkiewicz was not up to the job........ strange because I dont think many think he isnt playing well currently (ok needs more goals but that will come). AB's preferred option up front was Platt, he kept playing him when all and sundry thought he was at best limited. The young lad was in and out of the team, moved around the pitch, rarely finished a game but it was down to him ? REALLY ?

Very disappointed to read the comments AB made. Used to like his "honesty" in interviews. But this shows to me what a blinkered unseeing approach he took. He had his plan come hell or high water and just didnt see the players. He was inflexible in thought and probably in the dressing room too. This is even more emphasised by the difference between the AB team and the AT team. Same players but worlds apart ! So AB what is it that has changed at CCFC that now makes us an attractive, reasonably successful team ?!!!

AB regularly preached about players taking responsibility......... "physician heal thy self" comes to mind

just wanted to get that off my chest:)

So basically Boothroyd was a one-trick pony whose trick worked once with Watford. At least we took action before it was too late.

I had allot of respect for Aidy.. But this interview is just out of order targeting Jutkieiwcz, a talented young player as his downfall? Just out of order and unnecessary.

Fair enough King being suspended was a big loss and did have an effect on our downturn however taking cheap shots at Lukas is just down right low by Aidy, I also had alot of respect for him and thought him getting sacked was a big mistake however the way Thorn has got the same players playing shows me that Aidy's model plan just failed....

I couldn't agree more with this post! I get the impression juke probably wasn't one of ab's preferred transfer targets and maybe the club had an eye on him before ab arrived?? I can't imagine talking about someone he wanted at the club like this I.e Keough, Platt etc??

Comments he made have really put him down in my estimations!!

I for one have always felt juke has the talent. Look at the stats and it will show his work ethic! One of the highest ratings for shots this season in our league, and he hasn't played every game so to be up there takes some doing! Ok, he needs to improve on his goals scored stats but under at I see this happening sooner rather than later. Here's hoping he scores the last goal in a 3 1 victory over scunny with Marlon scoring first. I'll be very happy then :)

He sounds like a little baby throwing his toys out of the pram, probably retaliating due to whatever was going on behind the scenes ... At the end of the day your a professional manager Aidy with limited resources what do you expect ? Your job is to "manage" resources hence the title... Always acting like the humble one... but as soon as you get sacked you go on the attack at our beloved Cov !

What show was this on on 5Live?

Normally always have it on so annoyed i missed this.. But from the sounds of it, looks like he was clutching at straws of things to blame. Behind the scenes had alot of troubles, but the fans didn't know that.

Found it.

It's on half-time between the Ipswich vs Norwich game ( 58mins 41 secs into the programme).

Collect your money quietly Hoofroyd. Can we not suspend his wages for a breach of some kind?

just listened to it and to me it seems ady was on about when he was at watford not when he was at the sky blues so he wasn't slagging off juke

if it was about watford then a limited apology to AB. However.................

Principle is just the same and how long before similar comments come from him about CCFC?

Still think my comments about his honesty and tactics apply. We are a different team but the same players and the key to that was AB going.

old sky blue just admit your wrong he was'nt slagging watfor doff he slagged himself off as he said he was young and inexperienced and they suffered due to him not signing enough strikers and then the whole king and the young lad comment came out there was nothing bad or sinister about it. Talk about making a massive issue out of something very limited
