Under an embargo? And more importantly I now think we won't replace carsley in any case

This situation makes Carsley more likely to get the job. I dont think it affects managment, just players, but SISU will be hit with a hefty fine and will probs just keep Carsley. And im pretty sure we're not allowed to extend loans now so Dicko will be leaving soon and if Blair isnt fit, we're in trouble, cus i dont think Jordan Stewart was signed in time

We will give Carsley the job until the end of the season. Any manager worth his salt wouldn't take the job under current conditions, so we'll only get our 5th/6th choice anyway.

The embargo was probably one of those assurances that Seppella couldn't assure Robins about.

Think, he's left previous clubs because of lack of investment in the team.

Maybe he asked for assurances to do with loans and was told about the embargo and thought "hell Huddersfield are going to pay me three times what I get here AND i'll have money for players...sod this I'm off"

Don't blame him really, SISU really are a bunch of incompitent cocks!

SISU knew this transfer embargo was happening by this time last year - just like they probably already know the next one is coming in March 2014 as well.

on the basis of the last three years we had to feel this was a very likely outcome and as somebody mentions above, we could be in some trouble at left back. why they were 'racing around' trying to get deals done yesterday is beyond me. another example of a lack of basic preperation.

I find it hard to believe that there are reportedly 40+applicants for the hot seat , when the club is in a meltdown situation.

That was the only reason he left.

We have had managers work under embargos and given that we were signing players until the day he left that would be a pathetic excuse.

We will be under an embargo next season anyway as we will breach FFP rules because we are already paying too many players.

I'm sorry but I don't think that was the only reason.

I think it was one of the reasons but not the only reason.

To think that is accept that there is no longer any common decency in humanity left!

So many factors influence a decision like he made.

He has put the rest of his career on the line. Three clubs and he's walked away from all of them in the same fassion.

If his gamble goes wrong he could find himself without a job again and a lot of clubs wont go near him because of what he did in his previous three/four management jobs!

So no I don't believe for one moment that money was the only reason!

the major problem I have with Robins going has always been the 'sky blue blood' line. that suggests love and loyalty for the club, but thatswhat we have for CCFC - not him.

but with how things go at this football club it takes a hell of alot to have that loyalty and I cant blame a neutral to come in and have that in a few months, when the opportunity of higher league football, more money and more security is available. just dont say you love the club, thats all.

I agree that it was probably a few things as to why he left - money probably mainly, but other stuff as well. either way, if it was just money or a long list of reason, still dont allude to loving the club.

Grendel,
You make that statement as though it is fact, whereas I do not believe you are any more privy to MR's private thoughts than the rest of us are.
You might well be correct, but you might equally be totally wrong.
You, just like the rest of, actually do not know the truth, so presenting your opinion as being the absolute truth is misleading and wrong.
If I am wrong, please quote the source of your intimate personal knowledge of MR's reasoning.

This is not meant as a personal attack, so please do not take it as that, but I am getting a little tired of seeing statements made by many posters on here as though they are "The Truth" when the posters in fact have no more knowledge than the rest of us.
By all means, post your opinions, but do not pretend they are the truth.

It is a transfer embargo so only affects transfers that have to be registered with the Football League.

The first move I would like to see would the resignation of whoever is responsible for not posting the accounts (even if it is Joy) and whoever keeps rolling out the we cant post the accounts as we dont know what next years budget will be when that has nothing to do with last years accounts.

Stop bullshitting and sort it.
