The administrators can then come in then we could all get our wish and sisu will feck off. Then if there are peole intrested in buying the club then they come in and run it their way. Just hope it happens this season as league two could be our fate if it happens next season.

"IF there are people interested in buying the club"

Funding a loss making business, they must be queuing up

It's all about the land around the ground though. Someone has money and can develop that, then that is where the money is to be made.

How do we know that there are not people out there who would be prepared to buy the club? Sisu would not tell us if there was.

It's a good point that but....... I think there is massive potential gain with all parties on the same page

If anything it is more complicated - deal would have to be made with 3 parties ccfc, Higgs and the council, plus a long term commitment to regenerate the area.

nor an excessively high rent or landlords that have the power to make or break a business.

I don't get all this about developing the land around the RIcoh. What is there to develop. There's already a massive retail complex. More hotels? Can the current climate sustain more businesses like that? Particularly when building large scale infrastructure projects doesn't seem to make much sense.

Fair point, but neither have the facilities and potential of the Ricoh Arena.

Without anything I don't understand sisu's interest and with the poor relationships they have with the other parties they have nowhere to turn. Unless they feel they can turn things round by cutting costs and ..... Oh no that's been tried

Well, what I am talking about here is a new party being able to purchase the Ricoh, or at least a large share in it.

And as for the land, it has been widely reported before that it is the developing land where money is to be made.

As we have not paid any rent in nearly 12 months, and the rent is the cause of all our problems, this years accounts must be the healthiest in 20 years.

But any buyer would need to first take on the responsibilities of the football club and then negotiate an acceptable price for the stadium and land with the council. In other words, heavy losses are guaranteed on the promise of long-term potential. Surely the only types of people interested in a proposition such as that would be, say, hedge funds ...

Precisely right. That is why there is very little chance of it happening.

In that case the club is screwed is it not?

What is the point in even going anymore if it just on a downward spiral into the abyiss?

The chance to survive is if our council behaves like hull Doncaster stoke etc and accepts the business model as is will never work and no one will invest before that change occurs.

But the club will still be losing millions a year even with zero rent and 100% income streams.

Do you not agree that Sisu's position on the rent would be much stronger if they sorted out the clubs other problems? If their only loss each year was due to the stadium would that not back up their argument?

That would be impossible as I would say the vast majority of clubs lose money FFP rules in this league are focused on turnover. The club needs a far healthier balance sheet but its unlikely to make a profit.

The only way forwards I can see is that we employ a fantastic manager and are able to bring some gems through the academy etc.

Only forward way to go is to achieve promotion.

Do feel that could take as long as 5-10 years though and I am not sure the club has that in them to survive past another year or more.

This club has a track record of employing poor managers and selling the gems before they reach their potential. Unless that changes the only direction we will be going in is downwards.

At least we would have some hope with administration.

As things stand the club will cease to exist in a few years anyway.

Sorry Coundon but unless things change very quickly, I see it happening by the end of this season. I just pray to God I am wrong and these cowboys sort it out.

I think the main sticking point to any potential investors is SISU.

No one wants to deal with them because they know it's futile.

SISU want their investment back and they'll do anything to accomplish that.

Administration would be favourable as SISU would have to leave.

The Council's hard line attitude right now has come on ever so sudden and Sky Blue Pete said he'd had a chat with someone from the Council and they said there are interested parties who would like to do a deal to buy CCFC but will not deal with SISU under any circumstances.

If administration comes round, once they're gone, these investors can step in. They'd also have a clean slate with the Council and ACL so would be able to negotiate for control of the stadium!

The council would be willing to deal with them because they are not SISU!

Think just fundamental breakdown in relationship so can only happen with a set of investors they can trust

No need to be sorry, I would rather it happen quickly!

Its coming anyway so lets get it over with.

It's coming partly because a lot of people adopt the same attitude as you. A united front against the council as seen in many other community owned projects could produce a much more favourable outcome.

As for the land issue, I believe they want to build hotels and more housing in that area, not to mention the train station.

Hotel's allow oppersition fans (and travelling Sky Blue Fans) the opportunity to come down the day before the match.

Their money would be going into not only the hotel but also the shops and eateries across from the stadium.

It's a cash cow waiting to happen! But SISU haven't got the money (nor the stadium) in order to do it.

That's why people are always saying SISU only want the stadium and the land and not CCFC.

They'd definately start to make money is they got their grubby little hands on the land.

But the Council wont let them because they don't trust them!
