Equating SISU with CCFC suggests that you believe a club's owners always act in the best interests of the football club. Still, at least it sounds like you'll still have someone to support if CCFC goes under (I don't have that luxury).

Look, it's obvious that there needs to be negotiations, and I respect SISU's right to play hardball tactics, and even make noises about pulling the plug if they don't get their way - that's just what businesses do. What I don't appreciate are:

1. The demonisation of the council for calling in debts that are legally owed to them. SISU and their supporters need to accept that if a
rent strike was SISU's master tactic, then ACL was always going to have a legitimate counter-move. Either side would be incompetent if they didn't react the same way.

2. The embarrassing, destabilising effects of some of SISU's more madcap ideas. A new stadium in South Warwickshire? Give me strength.

3. The polarisation between some fans who seem to enjoy taking sides more than anything. Belittling fans for not standing up against the evil SISU/ACL does nothing to prove that Cov fans are uniquely apathetic compared to other clubs with stadium issues, and everything to prove that the fans who have chosen sides are getting a bit insecure about the number of people liking their posts on Sky Blues Talk.

On behalf of the Sky Blue Trust have just spoken to a Director of ACL who has said that this figure of £24 million is completely erroneous. There have not been discussions for the total revenue rights at all and he is mystified where this number has been created from. The profits from the food and beverages on match days is being offered to the club for free, worth about £100k and if the club wishes to reflect the revenue or sales (around £1m) for salary cap reasons then that could be arranged. Also we were told that if the club wishes to negotiate on individual revenue streams such as car parking etc then ACL would be willing to do so but up till now these have not been mentioned.

Just to clear up all the nonsense that is being spouted about rent etc the highlights of the deal being offered are rent is £400 K including match day costs, then club would receive the ACL profits from match day catering, around £100k and a rate rebate of £150 k and this is how the total of £150,000 per season has been arrived at.

if we were in the championship we would be a much more attractive for other investors but the reason we are where we are is because of SISU, we could all see what was going to happen last season the way the spine of the team was sold off and not replaced, even waggot said not keeping king got us relegated and that is the reason that a bad finacial position was made even worse.
The rent is to much and a offer has been made to reduce it, should we have the revenue from the food and drink ? yes, should we get it back for free no ! we got relegated and lost so much money through relegation and the blame for that is SISU's. They are now paying the price for employing morons on the board who were there to do a hatchet job on the team and the day to day running costs, and all it has done is cost us even more :facepalm::facepalm:
SISU are to blame for making a very bad situation even worse and yes the council and ACL have not helped and are to blame for some of the mess, but atleast they have made a very good offer to reduce the rent. They have brought costs down, which is what this football club needed to do. Our wage bill was 125% of revenue when we got relegated! There was unbelievable waste, with the biggest of all being the sale of our most prized asset. Highfield Road.

Apart from a few younger posters I suspect there are not many who just want rid of SISU without a ready replacement at all. Despite their failings and on going stand off most of us want to see compromise, fair base costs for the club are vital I agree but also a sustainable playing budget to match and realistic expectations from all concerned. I personally think that with the 'new' rent agreement and the removal of Wood and Sheffers from the wage bill and a small reduction in other playing staff the club can't be far off from breaking even next season. It will be a shame just as we are getting straight if personal and professional pride and differences between the two sides ruin all this !

To be fair torch I think there are a lot of reasons why SISU are getting the full brunt of the reaction

there is a culmulative effect of decades of poor management for starters

Previous regimes havent been so media savvy for example..... thats a double edge sword. When TF says something public because it suits him and the next week it changes (perhaps for very good reason) then people react. The old regime kept things in house a lot more

The general feel in the city about finances of any sort creates a reaction when huge sums like £45m are discussed.

SISU have made some very public mistakes, be it old board members, or current regime. None of that is masked by very much success on the pitch over the last 5 years

It is easier to find stuff out and quicker about the Club. Things like Twitter & facebook have accelerated that. Not everything is true that is put out there but it gathers a life of its own that the club cant control........... that adds to the feel that CCFC and its owners dont know what they are doing. There are some very clever people involved on all sides but that tends to get lost in the media and social media

There was a lot of secrecy at the club under previous regimes that doesnt exist as much now -- our level of secrecy really revolves around SISU not the club.

People, especially since the banking crash, are very suspicious of money men and do not tend to cut them much slack.

I think all that partly explains the animosity to SISU ................ but there is a saying "reap what you sow" .......... well when they came in they got it horribly wrong in so many ways and it is very hard to recover from that no matter how much you spend, especially if it doesnt bring any real success to date

The club is unattractive on several fronts, not least the reputation of the existing owners.......with whom, any potential purchaser or investor would have to work with.

My personal take on this, and I have no inside information to back it up, is that there probably is someone able and willing to help us, to take us on, given the right circumstances. Those circumstances would exclude SIsu. However, because of that exclusion, there is little chance that they will declare their hand whilst we are in this mess, with SISu at the helm.

We will only find out , when it happens.......a bit like Butch Cassidy and the sun dance kid jumping into the river!

All sides are complicit in this debacle to date. The only fact that needs to be realised here is that a solution is evident but the players are all as stuborn as each other it seems.
SISU are and have been ruthless in the way they have conducted themselves but at the end of the day while that protects them they are in turn protecting the club.
The Council 'operated' stadium under this rather messy ACL/Higgs umbrella have been accommodating and patient but even they seem at times to want to punish rather than find a happy medium to all of this. Do they really want to lose Coventry City F.C. from Coventry? It really could happen.

The only solution is to help out SISU the ultimate owners of CCFC to meet their end goal which is to achieve a balancing of the books, retain the asset of the golden share and eventually move it on for a return on their investment (sadly not a full return) and then new owners installed that can take a fresh view going forward with ACL to a brighter future for the City of Coventry.

As much as that may errk the likes of the Council/ACL it may well be for the best in the long term for more reason's than one.

The lessen learnt would be never approve such an operation as a 'hedge fund' company to get into the act in the first place.
When I think back to the days when SISU/Ranson arrived and demanding everyones shares and all that promise of investment, a new begining etc it makes my blood boil quite frankly but that has to be left in the past and deal with a solution today.
