It is a stance hull Doncaster and Ipswich all took. They had the whole if their respective population begind them - hence they won. I guess if hull was full of sky blue johns they would also now have no club.

And what exceptional stance, or action, other than posting on here have you taken..........

From a decent poster who I respect this is sulky playground nonsense

You may be right but the truth is we are the only football club in this position who have not had supporter unity behind their stance. For so called supporters to gleefully be wondering when admin is due we now deserve whatever is coming.

It's almost as if the owners have been in some way perceived to be untrustworthy...

Grendal you disgust me ! Are you and you're buddy's just trolls? You really think the potential liquidation of the club is a better option than the chance of potential new owners who have the clubs best interest at heart!

Grendel is one of those who has consistently supported SISU's ownership because the alternative would be potential liquidation. Let's be very clear on this issue: administration is what many have wanted for a very long time. Let's see how it plays out.

As much as i hate the thought CCFC going into administration, would this not be the best possible solution? Granted the point deduction happens this season (can someone clarify how that works?) we are in a decent position to take it. It would have minimal effect, a play-off push is still possible but not entirely likely (and worthless if we go into liquidation anyway) and we are pretty safe from the drop. Also, as unstable as a club in admin would be, i really lost any respect for SISU when they threatened liquidation, so i'd take anything else that will keep us alive.

I think we need to be realistic and accept the fact that the club needs to do what it needs to in order to survive at all now. I'd love the club to get promoted and enjoy watching us play decent teams again, but i just can't see it happening when these greedy companies insist on throwing the club around and arguing like a couple of chavs on Jeremy Kyle. But i'd rather watch my club play in league 2 than not at all, and if it means admin, so be it.

By the way, i am on the side of neither SISU or ACL. I follow CCFC.

I am pleased if it stops Grendels buddies liquidating the club and its not like they haven't threatened it !!!

So when Fisher threatened that the Ugly Ducklings were prepared to "get out of town", it was somewhat akin to a man who is facing a firing squad threatening that he was going to kill himself unless they let him go?

I haven't researched either case, but did they really take that stance?

Did they go into the press proclaiming that their landlords were about to go bust? Did they go to a meeting, verbally agree a deal and then back out?

Or did they perhaps negotiate in a sensible way?

We have only been hearing from Labovitch and Waggot the last few days I would presume Fisher has fallen on his sword !!

Grendel has been a bore, one of the many constants in this sad debacle. Imagine Grendel if you were in public office at the Council or a highly visible within ACL and had to deal with SISU, would you trust them, they were never the white knight coming to rescue us, the way the club was managed last season was a disgrace and has set the club back years. Yesterday we all became aware of how they have moved the goalposts again wanting more details on food and beverage a right the club had sold to ACL prior to their ownership. They have had a poor investment and what a public asset for free / cheap to recoup these losses and guess what they won't get it. SISU are the bad guys and don't care how much they "support" the club David bell's contract extension as much evidence tht is needed to demonstrate their mismanagement that they want ACL / Council to pay for.

You are clearly of limited intellectual ability so I will go easy on you;

Fact 1 - last time we were in this position only the Mayfair hedge fund were interested
Fact 2 - we are less attractive as an investment than we were at fact 1 stage
Fact 3 - from the start of punitive league action regarding administration only one club has improved league status since entering administration
Fact 4 - we will be the first club to effectively be wound up by the local council all other similar situations have resulted in the club getting its way

Is that understandable or do I need big crayons?

There's people on here who would be outraged if ACL said play at the ricoh for nowt, in fact they'd rather see the club wound up.

I can't see there being a potential buyer with the funds available to buy CCFC, there is just no way it's too neat

I hope this lad knows his stuff.....seems to think ACL have been talking to a potential buyer for some time?

Well this is my hope.Unless ACL are completely stupid surely they would have been quietly trying to find new owners,or else they could be left with ahuge white elephant with no realistic alternative use of the stadium, and the loss of £400,000 rental income.ACL surely can't contemplate a huge virtually brand new stadium, just lying empty for years to come.Only Coventry City Football Club can realistically play there,so if SISU can't agree a deal with them, then they need to try and locate new owners. If not then they will have almost certainlly killed the club.

Whatever your position on this matter, I fail to understand the glee with which some people have greeted this news.

Administration doesn't mean no liquidation, in fact liquidation will be inevitable if they cannot find a buyer to take the club on. Maybe they have someone lined up, in which case they have played their hand very well. My suspicion is that there is nobody waiting in the wings willing to take on this mess of a football club. Time will tell.

Personally, I would much preferred a resolution with the current owners who, whatever their primary motives, have shown a willingness to keep our club solvent over many years. Time will tell how this pans out, but personally I see this as the local authority playing games with its football club, the loss of which will amount to a good deal more to the local economy than fecking 1.3 million quid.

Fact 1 - last time we were in this position only the Mayfair hedge fund were interested

Only SISU with the commercial acumen of a grape were prepared to pay for a loss making club with no assets / negative assets - hence they were the only buyers all other sensible business people would have waited for administration to get it for free / debt free and probably would have renegotiated with ACL rent rates F&B not wait 4 seasons to start the renegotiations.

I can't see how this avoids liquidation. It avoids SISU doing it any day they feel like but surely a judge is going to look at CCFC and put is into admin, can't see that not happening. From there isn't liquidation a real threat? If the admistratior can't see a way to sell CCFC on as a viable business don't they have to liquidate.

So possible scenario is ACL have their own buyer lined up, in which case why are SISU not aware of them? That seems suspect to me, hard to say without knowing more. Other scenario is there is no buyer. That's a very dangerous game for ACL to play. Sure many of us what id of SISU but as has often been said if there's no buyer we've in big trouble.

Darryl Murphy ‏@darryljoemurphy This 'potential buyer' is said to be very interested - and does have the necessary funds #skyblues #pusb

Darryl Murphy ‏@darryljoemurphy If #skyblues go into admin - ACL would appoint administrator. ACL would then try to negotiate lease with this potential buyer #skyblues

Darryl Murphy ‏@darryljoemurphy I understand ACL have been speaking to a potential buyer for @Coventry_City for some time. #skyblues #pusb

could be a royal flush ferret...

Well my offer has been table a packet of crisps and a poke in the eye for complete control, I think that represents a fair deal!

"Mr. Hoffman to the operating room please" - major re-constructive surgery is needed!

Well you have all got what you wanted you must be so proud. You all worship the council and its quango.

This will not be filed until May so its minus 10 points next season. that is if we can find anyone as stupid as SISU to take us on.

My belief is this is the end of the football club but for most "supporters" this is trivial. We need to worship the ACL temple it is all that matters.

you really have'nt got a clue don't talk rubbish until you know whats happening re read ACL's statement in full you may understand it could be in the clubs best interest

Re: fact one-wrong; we were stopped from going into administration by SISU buying us. We haven't been in administration seeking a buyer before-that was one of SISU's first mistakes, taking on a club with a historical debt that wouldn't have been there from administration. That makes fact 2 also not a fact-we have never been in administration before, so no comparison can be made.

It's too neat Jack, ACL file for Admin just to talk with a potential buyer the whole time? It don't make sense
