Key phrase is potentially - for the vast majority of football clubs they come out of administration as new healthier businesses - when was the last major football club liquidated in this country? Portsmouth, who are much bigger basket case than Cov, appear to be coming out of admin with new ownership headed by their Trust so whilst liquidation is a possibility for a club of our size is highly unlikely. In fact being in admin actually protects us by giving us time to restructure properly, find new buyers and prevents any owner doing it voluntarily.

Why would they liquidate? If their is a buyer waiting in the wings they could sell and recoup some money. If they liquidate what would they get?

Nice sentiment Jan but I would never want us to go down the road of Portsmouth. The irony is that I work in Portsmouth so have to go down the A27 road to Portsmouth in the morning! I digress.....they're a glorified example of our club however their stadium ownership is more clear cut. One owner, private chap and he holds the cards. They're in a right mess (seriously, our situation isn't that bad and I've seen it first hand). Our situation won't change regardless of who owns us. The rent is still too high for a club that is trying to address year upon year of financial mismanagement so whether it's SISU or Jesus running the club, the same situation will still face the clubs owners.

The problem with the bluster hypothesis is that it worked well didn't it? If ACL needed to hear anything it was not the threat of liquidation. Backfired on SISU somewhat.

As someone who has had business negotiations with the council I, personally, pity SISU. Trying to get the council to agree to anything is like trying to nail a jelly to a dart board.

And without changes in the outgoings of the club, the same issues will still be here for the new owners. The 'cancer' of this club as you put it has been keeping us afloat for the past 5 or 6 years. Regardless of how much some will hate to hear that, that's a fact.

Another fact is that our club needs to be financially sound and the current owners are questionning the figures they're paying at the moment as part of this process. I personally think that not paying rent for over a year is a shambles, it really is. But if SISU were to leave tomorrow and miracuously, some knight in shining armour rode into town to save us, THE RENT IS STILL TOO HIGH AND WE SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO OTHER REVENUES TO RUN A SUPPORT A SUCCESSFUL TEAM ON THE PITCH!!!

Nothing changes with SISU gone....we still need to run more efficiently and from what I can see, ACL and CCC sit it differently, thus draining the club of life.

I have not voted but here are my thoughts.
I have said time and time again the only way ccfc has a future is to be united with the stadium.
With Sisu at the helm this will never happen and happy to claim this as fact !!!!
Jan has stated that there are interested parties which i am not surprised.

I haven't voted either. Understandably the poll questions have to be fairly simplistic, but this is complex situation and to vote either way carries lots of assumptions.

Not sure we can even get to the end of the season and a chance of promotion if SISU are serious about liquidating the club, and I for one am surprised there are other interested parties - lets hope they are not put off once they get into detailed financial negotiations with CCC/ACL and that there is sufficient revenue and profit available from the deal to sustain and grow CCFC whilst providing a return to the new owners (if SISU can be persuaded/forced to sell).

We are so starved of success for do long I want my day st wembley to feel proud and united with my team and 50000 screaming sky blue fans supporting their current heroe. No 2 - That's a nice sentiment, but if you think that clubs can be self-sustaining by functionning merely on ticket/shirt sales, TV money and player sales then I'm afraid you're probably very wide of the mark. There's more costs than you our I are aware of and every club needs some owner input of finances. It's debatable as to how much, but SISU will have part funded the clubs outgoings since they've been here.

I've not dealt with CCC but have dealt with some local councils and some county councils and two city councils and I definitely concur!

Fratton Park is a football stadium in the English city-port of Portsmouth. It has been the home of professional club Portsmouth F.C. since its construction in 1898.

It is not the most modern of stadiums, seems like a reasonable price given that they have to raise enough money to redevelop the ground. As someone said earlier, the comparison is meaningless.

Thier fans have had a good 20 years. Promotions, playoffs, edging the play offs, cup finals and of course relegations.

We have had 2 or three good seasons in the past 40 years. 2 relegations.

The question about the last 5 or 6 years is why? To what end? Yes the rent is still too high for a new owner, but that, like everything else, is negotiable TO THE RIGHT BUYER!

Anyone who thinks we would win promotion from the play offs this season is seriously deluded.
The team is weak. Defence: slow and mistake prone; the midfield is in disarray and the forwards, without Clarke and, possibly Baker in the run in, would have little chance IMO.
