Well as the clock clicks on the doom mongering of CCFC I thought I would start a hall of fame for some of the players still in our memory and forgotten we had in the Premiership...

Oooh, some of them weren't very good!! My favourites out of those lot - Froggatt, Nilsson, Keane, Whelan, Hadji, Quinn, Ndlovu and Oggy. Missing Huck and Dublin and also McAllister.

Also the Arsenal mascot in the Hadji photo played against us in the 6-1 match. That's scary!

Thing is HH. These are "Whipper Snappers".....Extend it back to the start of Coventry City FC in the 1st Division.....NOW we're talking footballers. Glazier, Curtis, etc, etc. :claping hands:

Nilsson was immense, so was hadji and chippo! But let's be serious, Jarni was the best, the way he graced the pitch! *cough, cough* ;)

Throughout the "Premiership Years", City were shite IMO - always struggling for survival. The odd player stood out now and again but as a whole, the team never really took off. If anyone can say different, then why is it we have never finished above 6th place in 43 years! The best teams we had were way back in the early - mid 1960's when we were promoted to the old 1st Division. OK, so we didn't set the football world alight, but the players played with pride. That's why they're still proud to be part of the Former Players Assoc. How many players of "recent" years are members?

I'll not have a word said against Jarni. In all of the time he spent at the club, he never put a foot wrong ;)

92/93, 93/94, 97/98, 99/00- no
94/95, 95/96, 96/97, 98/99, 00/01- yes

Not alway struggling for survival - 55.55% of the time.

Was it really any better during other top flight decades?
