Just wonder how people are going to feel come 5 p.m. Saturday night if we sit proudly in the top 6, knowing that 10 points are going to come off to propel us into midtable?

I'd blame SISU for they're schoolyard tactics. The rent is high, but the way SISU have gone about this is completely wrong.

I'll feel exactly as I do now - angry that everyone involved in this sorry mess has allowed this scenario to happen through their own stubbornness/negligence/incompetence/greed (use whatever adjectives you feel are appropriate).

SENIOR staff at Coventry City are understood to have been told by club chiefs that owners Sisu have plans in place to avoid being forced into administration tomorrow.

Sources close to the football club have revealed that chief executive Tim Fisher held a conference call with management at Ryton and the club’s Academy earlier this week to allay fears surrounding the immediate future of the Sky Blues.

The Telegraph understands that Mr Fisher branded Ricoh Arena bosses Arena Coventry Ltd’s move to bring the club to court for in excess of £1.3million in unpaid rent as “bullying” tactics – and dismissed speculation of any wealthy Americans waiting in the wings with a takeover bid.

It is understood staff were told that Sisu boss Joy Seppala is working on a plan to avoid a judge deciding that the club is insolvent and placing it in administration, one of the effects of which would be an immediate ten point deduction by the Football League that would scupper City’s chances of making the play-offs and the possibility of promotion.

One possible tactic for the Sisu lawyers would be to challenge to the original lease agreement and argue that it is illegal.

Even though that agreement was signed five years ago, a judge might grant an adjournment of the case which would give the club more time.

Another scenario would see Sisu pay some or all of the rent arrears at the last minute and re-open negotiations with ACL.

i want justice, and if the lease is illegal then i want sisu to fight acl in the courts. i dont know who the baddies are but i do think that while sisu are having to fight to save there millions then a side effect of that could be a better future for ccfc. after all they really do have to protect there asset, even if its only to sell ccfc in future. so at the moment im taking the side of the lesser evil. because imo ACL want to drain ccfc of every penny they can which will always mean less money to invest in the squad. i also think that sisu really do want to buy the Ricoh, but on the cheap. and who doesn't like a bargain?

If they consider the context that the value of the rent arrears SISU chose unlawfully not to pay was - in broad terms - equal to the value of the 4-year contract SISU awarded to David Bell; they might conclude that somewhere along the line; priorities were rather wrong.

All, bar the insane, should be rightfully upset should this happen. The reality is, bar trolling on here, we're all Coventry fans. We pay our money, for season tickets, occasional tickets, club merchandice or whatever, and we deserve to be served up better than this

But when you break the law to get that bargain; you can't cry wolf when you have to face up to the lawful consequences

How very very true!

Thank goodness, I thought with a couple of your recent posts, you had been off form, but in a simple Moff assessment I find this one is back up to a fine standard ;)

Did the article start "Hypocrit Fisher says" as this is a joke. SISU tried to strangle ACL out of business and because the bullied has hit them back are now crying bully :jerkit:

This talk of Sisu/CCFC claiming the rental agreement is illegal is so wrong. That claim should have been addressed previously, it has nothing to do with tomorrow's case. Tomorrow's case is about CCFC's ability to pay it's debts when they fall due. The courts have already decided that CCFC owe ACL the unpaid rent. They have to prove that they have the ability to pay it and can operate as a going concern. It is all a smokescreen.

It's a debt. If SISU can't cover it I would be suprised. Delays expected after tomorrow

I want my cake and I want to eat all of it!!!

I want the court to rule that the rent is unreasonable and a monopoly on matchday receipts is unreasonable, and I want ACL to pay all costs to leave court with a lot of egg on it's face!

I also want SISU out out out and a new owner in who loves football.

I do not want a points reduction this season at any cost!!

If I can I'll be there tomorrow if only to see some of these profiteers in the flesh...and hear their inevitable spin.

Could be an exciting day however you look at it!!

I agree with all your points but would be surprised if you see anyone but the lawyers tomorrow.

Sisu action has nothing to do with where we are in the league.. now does it.... keep it real fella.

Sisu's actions to get us near the play offs you mean?

Thought the councils number one stooge would reappear this week.

Hoping the play off dream dies tomorrow?

Grovel...What happened to your long snivelling Sisu arselicking signature?
Guess you want another few years of utter incompetent stewardship of this club by Shitsu, dragging us through the gutter of the national press and courts... great for the club:facepalm:
