Just been told that the players will refuse to play anywhere else other than the Ricoh Arena should it be available and as ACL have said it will be where does that leave our owners, their employers, who are supposedly in discusson with the FL about where to play our final fixtures.

That is as likely as everything being resolved by tea time.

I doubt if it says thanks for signing but by the way you could be playing some of your home fixtures at Walsall, St Andrews, Nene Park, Vile Park, Memorial Park or Sowe Common

I also doubt it says "You are obliged to play all home matches at The Ricoh Arena"

The players won't care where they play so long as it doesn't effect them financially. Cynical view I know, but I believe it to be so.

Pretty much. So long as the players still get that £20,000 cheque at the end of the month (as D. Bell does), they won't care.

I think the players and various managers overall have been superb and professional in the way they have all carried on with day to day training and playing. Its commendable to all involved if we take a team to Pompey, I wouldn't blame them though if they finally start to refuse to play ball with their idiotic directors wishes to alienate the team with its fanbase. I won't watch us play home games outside of Coventry, SISU can stick it up their arses !

I think some not all will care and have an opinion and are nearer to the real thing than us. Lets not forget their futures are in the balance too,Administration or liquidation can put them out of work instantly

They're all capable of finding other clubs in that scenario.

Who did you hear that from? Jim the doorman I suppose. Players will play anywhere as long as they are being paid

What difference does it make to them where they play their 'home' games?

If anything I think they'd prefer it as we clearly do much better away from the Ricoh!

I be surprised if it mentioned anything about playing specifically at the Ricoh. That could mean refusing to play, breach of contract, contract terminated, no cost! Then play the kids to the end of the season.

Hope that is the case and that Bell is fit "not to play".

Have to say don't really believe this...As players have said on many occasions, be it with a new manager coming in, boardroom politics and even threats of admin and point deductions...the players just get on with it. I don't think they'd risk being in breach of their contracts for the sake of 3 games. I haven't got a contract though and will not go and watch a Coventry team playing home games anywhere but in Coventry. I reckon quite a few others feel the same so another short sighted manoeuvre from SISU if we do move.

Just been told that the players were the ones who refused to play at the Ricoh any more because they are pissed off by being held to ransom by the landlords. ;)

Why would the players care? They'll still get paid and they get booed most of the time at "home" anyway.

I don't think 3 games at St. Andrews will tax their sat nav skills too much....,

Yeah, I can't imagine contracts specify a venue, just playing for the club itself which would still be valid with a ground-switch.

Didn't baker recently say the players prefer playing away from the Ricoh anyway? Theyre probably celebrating rather than revolting. You really are full of crap bear boy

And if the players turn up Good Friday at the Ricoh to play will Fisher and Waggott form a picket line ? Will any player crossing it be a scab ? Would any fan assisting F & W be secondary pickets all that on one of the only 2 dates in the year you can refuse legally to work on

Why would the players turn up at the Ricoh if the game is scheduled elsewhere? It's hardly Spartacus leading the slaves.

So this wasn't true then, was it?

Hardly going to delvulge exactly what went on, i believe it was a deputation of players who met Fisher and Waggott, not sure if Sepalla was there
