I might be wrong but the biggest fact the FL look at, is the clubs ability to pay its football creditors, tax, wages, vat etc. I cannot say the golden share is a huge issue or not , but you are right grego i wouldn't think it has any monetary value at all .

It hasnt got a value in the sense it can be bought and sold as a separate item. However its value is that no league team can exist without it and it therefore brings with it the income, prize money, tv money etc that any league team needs. It hasnt got a separate value but it is the single most valuable item each team has

It reads to me what sisu has done has taken all including the Football League by surprise and the FL may well not have covered this scenerio in their laws which could mean they can't do anything points wise other than the known about 10 points. Whether this is a bit of luck or smart planning i don't know.

The football league need to make their rules much more flexible if a smart business can come in & drive a cart & horses through loopholes in them.

It seems the FL have been taken by surprise and it remains to be seen whether rules have been broken regarding this issue. The only hope i cling to is that normally (by my memory) teams are deducted points within minutes of entering admin,so maybe this is a first time they have encountered this problem and are unsure legal wise of where they stand.

The problem is with FL you can't get away with anything because of a technicality. Unfortunately this isn't an episode of Kavannagh QC and the FL can and will change the rules and penalties as they see fit to close any loop holes that may have been used.

No expert on such matters but posted a link below about third party ownership of registrations.

My understanding was that third party ownership of registrations had been outlawed and that under completely different circumstances West Ham had been done for this.

So, if your golden share is still with CCFC Ltd but all registrations have been transferred to CCFCH are you now in breach for every single player you have? And have effectively played a full team of in registered players yesterday? I'm not sure.

Perhaps someone can research.

If the golden share is with ccfcl, the player registrations will be with the same entity. This will be confirmed on Tuesday.

Hope so, and that they haven't done something silly in separating the two in their attempt to separate the debt as I think their is the potential for fines and/or 3 points deduction for each unregistered player.

Might take them longer than Tuesday to sort this lot out. If they haven't done things right they could have broken more rules than a youth from a Walsall housing estate with a list of ASBOs.

Meanwhile, in the real world:

The Golden Share. There it was, lurking right below the ring of the left goalpost in the CCFC Ltd end of the Ricoh pitch, whizzing streamlined along the high, shining pillar. They both saw it at the same time and dove for it: Joy Malfoy and Harry Higgstrust.

Natalie Cox, the new Ricoh commentator, burst into a wild, girlish ballyhoo and the fans all around the stands stood up in excitement. "Higgstrust is diving like a lightning bolt for the Share, but Malfoy approaches from the other side, dangerously fast. The Share won't have a chance! It's inevitable that one of them will catch it now! I hope it's Higgstrust! Go Higgstrust! Ouch! Ouch! Damn, no need to poke... Oh, Professor Linnell! Erm, okay, I will try to be more impartial in the future... and here comes Malfoy! She's flying side by side with Harry! Both approach the Share with a horribly high speed... Look out, Harry, you'll collide with the goalpost unless you... Higgstrust dodges, so does Malfoy! They turn around and reach for the helpless little Share once again... And, Waggott's's beard, they smash together!"

Natalie continued, her voice trembling as she pulled her hair nervously with white knuckles. "They plunge, alongside, towards the ground. Can they possibly survive through this horrible fall? Why won't they pull up? They almost seem to be like tangled together! What the devil is going on here? it's as if they were holding hands! Shake her away, Higgstrust! Shake her away! But... Where is the Share?"

The fans started to throw eager glances all across the Ricoh pitch, but nobody seemed to be able to distinguish the tiny golden orb anywhere. The players in both ACL and SISU stopped their game and anxiously watched how their seekers battled together, rapidly approaching the ground.

This momentarily lack of attention opened the SISU chaser, Tim Nicebutdim, a chance to score.

Natalie Cox noticed this, and her miserable moan soon echoed all around the stadium. "Oh no! SISU have forced an adjournment until this Tuesday. The referee can't understand what they're doing either. And what's that big artic doing outside loading all the kits from the SISU souvenir shop?"

......to be continued this Tuesday in a courtroom in Hogwarts.
