Stuart Linnell should be sacked (7 Viewers)

Most people can see that. ashbyjan doesn't though. Next time he gets inteviewed on midlands today or CWR he'll put forward his pro council stance and everyone will think coventry fans don't want or need the club to own the stadium.
Not havin a go, he's entitled to his opinion. Is that the stance of the trust?

I ask you again to explain why if we have the revenues do we actually need to own the bricks and mortar? Plenty of teams don't own their stadiums - West Ham are selling their stadium and moving into a rented one, Man City don't own thiers, Forest don't own theirs etc. The importance isn't the ownership but the income derived from any deal. The problem we have at present isn't that we don't own the stadium but the fact that the rent is too high and we don't get enough of the revenue.

Please don't label me or the Trust pro council or anything else - the only label I will happily accept is pro Sky Blue.

I don't think he should be sacked, as he would no doubt set his lawyers onto the beeb for unfair dismissal and win, much better to put him onto the late night slot, i'm thinking it could be called " Linnel's late night love in ". It should be on between the hours of 2-6 am, and consist of cheesy love songs and letters of woe from the scorned ex's of coventry and warwickshire.
That's called the graveyard shift you know, ;)

And of course featuring Stuart's Deep Bath: "Mmmmmmmmm, lets make it more frothy with a squirt of light lemon liquid".

Phoned CWR at 5.30 told there was only one person in front of me asked me what I wanted to talk about said they would phone me back in 10 minutes didn't. I tried to phone at 5.59 nobody answered. This is now the third time seems to me CWR are being selective in who they have on By the way Stuart thats an OPINION not a fact. Why dont you prove my OPINION is wrong

Why not say you want to talk about 1 thing and then get on and confuse them?

Yeah just say you agree with SISU and their stance with ACL/Admin then 'change your mind' whilst waiting.

Shouldn't need to CWR is part of our public service broadcaster specifically it is as its name implies a radio station for Coventry and Warwickshire. It should be representing diverse opinions,my opinions may be wrong but surely I have the right to hold those opinions right or wrong. Also surely I have a right to express those opinions without what bammounts to censorship again my OPINION.

Except 2 things:

Majority of BBC local radio take 5 Live overnight and he does breakfast on BBC Northampton.

Personally I don't think the phone ins ever been the same since Gurney left. He was on for one game last season and his voice reminds me of our better days. Didn't mind Geoff or Clive, but Linell shouldn't be on it.

His shouting down of those who wanted Thorn out was awful to listen to. His comments of "you don't know anything about football..." were farcical. He should have been taken off it then.

So he sits in the studio doing the show just doesn't broadcast to anyone and we all win. :)

Spoke to my dad today, he lives in Cov and was over visiting us. I asked him did he listen to the after match phone in yesterday, and he said no. I told him it was a good laugh as Stuart Linell was getting really upset with some of the things being said on the internet, and he particularly mentioned one person who he said he would call his lawers over.

"Let me guess", says my dad. "This bloke was accusing him of being SISU blinkered I'll bet".

Bearing in mind my dad doesn't own a computer and has never even heard of a smartphone, old Stuart perhaps doesn't realise just how biast he can seem to the average listener.

Never. And that won't change with the next lot either. Why? Because this club does not play on a level playing field financially compared to other clubs and while ACL exist we never will. If we wholly owned the Ricoh, kept all the revenue, but were still in the mess we find ourselves in then I'd be standing shoulder to shoulder with you wearing my SISU OUT t-shirt.

While ACL are taking their sizeable slice then I will always side with the football club.

If this club lost £1.3m a year I would be agreeing with you.

The other £3-£4m losses a year are down to the club though. Why don't Sisu sort out those problems first and then they may look competent and are more likely to get support for their stance on rent?

Maybe psgm1 needs to adjust his way of putting points across but i think it is a bit out of order taking the piss out of someone who has served in our forces.

Makes no difference if somebody had been in the forces or not, can equally be a twat if served as somebody who hasn't.

All this "Our Boys" crap really gets on my nerves, always has done.

This.

Our boys bollocks. It's a job. A decision. Well done, not something I'd choose to do, but it doesn't make you immune from criticism.

.... except that he supported wolves!

Came across as more passionate about the club than Stuart. However I do enjoy listening to Sky Blue Magic the story of how Coventry City won a major trophy for the very first time which he (Stuart) presented.

Well said, the army is always an emotional soft-spot that is used by some people to manipulate other people.

I remember watching BBC QT, and many people were questioning cuts to military, saying we need an army to protect our borders... From what? There's no threat of a world conflict and terrorism is handled by counter-terrorist bodies in the police or intelligence services. How are the soldiers protecting our freedom fighting in a country that is 3000-4000 miles away? Not slating the army because they're acting under orders from the government.

Afghanistan is a scam of a war, utterly pointless, we're not preventing terrorism, if anything, foreign interference is breeding it, we're fighting in one province, hardly eradicating the problem, what's ironic about it, we trained the people we're fighting against 30 odd years ago! It's a waste of money and should've been the first thing the Tories cut! I have respect for soldiers, they are heros, who risks their lives for so little, but they are without a heroic cause in this instance. Bring them home.

I may be wrong, but I think psgm1 brought up the issue of his service record when Linnell suggested that he was a coward hiding behind a keyboard, or words to that effect.

He was a coward hiding behind a keyboard when he said his comments and didn't want to back them up with him.

Besides, somebody saying that they served in Kuwait(He didn't say on which side!), on an internet messageboard doesn't necessarily mean that he has or has had any connection with the Forces at all.

Regardless, it should make no difference.

I could easily say I'm in the armed forces, but it isn't true, how do we know PSGM1 wasn't lying? After all, he only spouts bullshit.
