Hopefully Bob Brolly doesn't present it. Just be his gibberish masking what is actually being said like the press conference last month. Queue Annie Lennox just as Paul Clouting is explaining what he offers to the club. joke.

I have managed to get a ticket and will try reporting back on here during evening but are there any questions you would want to ask and if I get the opportunity I will try and ask.

Depends if you think that the club will actually give a full and straight answer to any of the questions cc4l. Past experience says not. AT will have to toe the party line and be circumspect with his answers. :thinking about:

Am sure there will be plenty of coverage and recordings of it available. Personally I would go out and have a good time rather than get increasingly frustrated by the answers we are likely to get from the fans forum:D. Think Rustic Reg covered most of the answers yesterday lol !

I think the usual questions need to be asked here:

Stadium ownership
Train station - surely this would attract new fans, how much would it be, how could we finance it
Player investment for next season how much
When will the transfer embargo be lifted
Future loanees perhaps partnerships with premiership clubs maybe could we forge some new relationships.
Mention that the new kit is fantastic and we should develop more fashionable items that people want to buy (and perhaps a changing room in the club shop!)

I will think some more....

For gods sake don't mention the Train Station. We really need to know more about the club and giving them chance to ramble on about a train station will allow them to stay away from the real important subjects. £££££££££

Sorry disagree Canley / Coventry station to the Ricoh could introduce lots of fans that either don't drive or choose not to. You don't just pump money in buying players every year... You have to speculate a little and unless train goers get into the Ricoh free then they could bring revenue, extra crowds better atmosphere etc etc....

How about Deadworth, Rugby and funeaton? many would use the train station.

Perhaps you are correct though lets just ask them how much money we can have for players....I am sure we can get back to 60m debt if try hard enough.

can see the case for the station but there is no point asking the football club about it .......... they dont own the stadium. They can lobby for it as can the fans but whilst they do not own the stadium or surrounding land it isnt realistic to expect an all but broke football team to pay for even part of it.

Thanks OSB you said pretty much what I was about too. The idea is to ask about the team, acquiring the ricoh, Transfer umbongos, where cash is coming from, why it's been left so late to offer contracts to the big three, takeover bids e.t.c. not a council owned Train station. Give them an easy topic about the Train Station and you won't get back onto the real matters.
As a resident of Bedworth, I'm pretty sure that most people in the town live nearer to the Ricoh than the train station, so they aint gonna be walking away from the Ricoh to pay to get a train ride back to where they came from!

I wouldn't mind if we had a train system like they do on the continent, but our over-priced, unreliable, dirty, untimely, excuse for public transport, would render it pointless even if we did receive a completion date.

That said, the fact that they can't get a simple stop/go platform to service a single line, in time for a worldwide event like the Olympics shows the City in a pretty poor light.

It will be on the iPlayer to listen again from tomorrow if not later tonight

main things I took from it:-

Thorn is taking some of his coaching badges next week. His playing style is influenced by Steve Coppell, and David Moyes. He says he will never change to a direct style of football as he believes in the passing game

The Embargo should hopefully be lifted next week, the books have been filed with companies house and the issue with Danny Ward has been resolved.

Clouting says that the club are currently in talks with investors both local and abroad

The Conor Thomas situation is still unresolved and down to Conor and Liverpool.

Thorn is grinding down the 3 to try and get them to sign contracts

I understand that we were renegading on a deal that AB struck to pay less the more we played him. He got injured early and we sent him back but continued to accrue a debt. Seems odd but apparently that was part of the deal for us to get him as we ensured he would get some regular first team action and not bench warming but looks ill thought now

Have not listened to the fans forum yet ..... but just a couple of reactions ....

I understand that AT doesnt have any coaches badges...... as far as I am aware there would be no special dispensations, but i could be wrong...... you have to start from the bottom up and he isnt going to become a Uefa badge coach in a week! Level 1 or equivalent is around 20 hours, Level 2 is a weeks course plus 6 months assessment, etc etc. But there may be some way round it with the FA i dont know

What i read on SBmad was that accounts were filed two Thursdays ago............ still not on Company House website..... it doesnt take that long to get Company House updated, i do it often enough for clients! Also a month ago we were told it would be next week ...... still no change. If interim accounts not yet at FA or Football League how are they going to turn it around by early next week ?

What the hell were we doing making an agreement with Bolton to pay for Ward when he was back with them injured!!!

Not only have the "3" not signed but neither have Cameron and Clarke!. The deadline runs down end of next week before the current contracts end and they are free to talk to others from 30/06. I admire the intention but think such a deadline is shooting ourselves in the foot ..... certainly the "3" can all wait till July on full pay and see what happens, because all three will get offers elsewhere. Pretty certain Clarke and Cameron would find something too but probably drop a league or two

Havent we been in talks with these mysterious investors for months and months now.......... nothing new in what clouting reportedly said

Why is Thomas situation unresolved? Liverpool must know if they want him..... they wont get to find out any more than they have about his ability he is injured and out for a while.

With the greatest respect to AT ...... it doesnt seem we have been told much and what we have been told the dots dont all join up!

To those who didn't hear it. ??
It was, as to be expected a pretty low key affair, with little, or not much that we havn't heard before at these occasions, Andy Thorn stressed that the club was doing all it could to re sign, the three players, who are out of contract, t
"The offers are on the table and its up to them, But I'd love them all to stay" said the City Manager, who also said, "The players have 21 days to respond to the offer, before he steps in and makes the decision for them in the interests of the club, and fans.

In a reply to the Question of Administration, The chief executive, stated "The club has no plans to go into administration, we are constantly looking for investors, and administration is not on the agenda, However, it would be foolish of me to sit here and guarantee that it will never happen in the future" I thought that it was an honest opinion, and one that could apply to many teams apart from the sky Blues.

In answer to a question regarding investment in the team, it was stated that Andy Thorn would have a similar transfer Budget availiable to him, as last year, which is not so discouraging in the circumstances.

Its already been reported in another post that the Transfer embargo, is due to be lifted, possibly early next week following, the club submitting the accounts, and settling the Business over the loanee Ward.

Season Ticket sales, have topped 5,000 which is apparently better than this time last year.

The decision to let Quirk go, was made by Andy Thorn, after consultion with oggy, our goal Keeping coach.

These are the main points that were discussed at the forum,
And in conclusion, Andy Thorn said "I'm looking for a tighter, happier dressing room, which in turn will improve our performances and results, and bring the style of football that will help to encourage people to the Ricoh" He also affirmed that he was commited to an attacking style of Football, and would not change his Ideals on how the game should be played.

Regards..Tank Top....Tankie
