BOYCOTT Season Ticket Purchases (9 Viewers)

I'm not twisting your words. You think people buying season tickets are helping to destroy the club. I disagree. And the main problem for me is you can't be civil about it, you resort to abuse, which is what many of the pro-ACL "side" do.

Stop bleating and twisting words you foolish little man. You are happy to ridicule your opponents at will for months but don't like it when the boots on the other foot !

Getting a berating for getting a season ticket is a new low on here. Full of mental cases.

I think this thread is a new low. Veiled threats aimed at people because they are planning to buy a season ticket? What fresh lunacy is this?

The idea that a boycott is the way forward doesn't stack up anyway. People talk about 'lining SISUs pockets' when every penny spent by the fans goes to the running of the club - it has to, it operates at a loss, this is not denied by anyone. Less income will simply result in further cost-cutting, most notably in wages (we'll essentially end up with a team full of kids). That team would sink to the bottom of the table in all probability, and not only that would be playing its games in front of an essentially empty stadium. Just the sort of image we want to portray to prospective buyers hey?

if you wanna force sisu out abstaining from buying a season ticket is probably a good idea

if you dont care either way then its not.

Take away ST holders from ANY club and that club will die. To berate season ticket holders is pathetic. If you don't want to go then don't go, but don't attack those who simply want to support their Club.

As things stand I'm not renewing next season purely because I'm bored to fuck of it all. But it won't be because of a boycott that won't come to fruition, or have an effect. Because again, it's purely Internet warriors.

1st sensible post in pages. How many of these boycotting are the same that trawl out the usually excuses for not going anyway. Our club is a becoming a laughing stock if it isnt already and all these internet warriors can do is threaten to beat each other to death with a keyboard

Team full of kids? That's already happening regardless of a boycott

I'm afraid that I won't be renewing either whilst they are still here. I'll go to a few away games and or if someone I know has a spare ticket, but I'm not working full time every week to give a chunk of my hard earned wages to these tossers. I hate saying it but enough is enough.

So what your saying season ticket holders are better fans then non?

That's fair enough, SBS. People should be allowed to make their own choice without being attacked for it. I have no problem with boycotters and similarly they shouldn't have a problem with those who wish to get their season tickets.

Absolutely not. If anything, it's the opposite as those who got up every week and pay on the door pay more anyway. I'm saying don't attack those who wish to buy season tickets.

I don't agree with boycotting personally but I'll be fucked if I'm going to have a go at anyone for doing it.

Far as I'm concerned it's your wallet, your money; vote with it if you have objections to our owners and genuinely believe it will make a difference. It might, you never know. Ultimately I'm sure that if you make/have made the decision not to buy season tickets, or not to go to home games, you were unhappy to do so.

I think the same courtesy should be extended to those who choose to continue to support the club (notice I didn't say SISU, it's not like they pocket the fucking money, if they did they'd have buggered off by now surely) by buying season tickets.

Your taking a silly moral high ground. Basically belittling anyone who don't get a season ticket. If it wasn't for season ticket holders the club will die? The club is dieing anyway thanks to SISU.

The only threats made were by season ticket holder. The big bad men

No, I'm not. And yes, if it wasn't for STH a club would fail because the Club - especially those at our level - plan their budget on the amount of money they get upfront.

Your taking a silly moral high ground. Basically belittling anyone who don't get a season ticket. If it wasn't for season ticket holders the club will die? The club is dieing anyway thanks to SISU.

His first reply was: "I'm renewing, always will"

Then he got attacked. Hardly a moral high ground.
I didn't even consider some people meant boycotting season tickets but still getting tickets for each game. That's probably not one of the worst ideas. Something I may even do myself, but not from a boycotting perspective. I can just see myself fancying going to the odd game.

Don't have a clue. People on here say that's the case, but who knows? As I said from the off my stance is "I'll always get one" and the same will be said of many others. There's nothing wrong with that. I certainly don't have a problem with anyone wishing to do something else.

But isn't next years season tickets already money been used as a loan this year?

I have a new job where i am working shifts so will have to wait until the fixtures come out and work out how many games I will miss.

I am one of the biggest SISU OUT protesters on there and at the game but I can't help but go and see my beloved Sky blues every week.

Then again this will only happen if we play at the Ricoh.

I for one will reluctantly re-new but as they have had a the rent reduced due to being in a lower division should we not also benefit from watching sub standard football each week.
All you here is that Sisu doesn't make a profit but you never hear anything from them about the poor suffering supporters.

That's part of the reason I'll probably be out next season. I started shifts last August and have been literally wasting holidays to watch us lose to shit, and play shit.

Boycott?

Our average gates:

05/06 21,180
06/07 20,342
07/08 19,123

10/11 16,310
11/12 15,119
12/13 10,864

Seems to me, large numbers of city fans started boycotting the club years ago, and what good has it done exactly?

Oh well done Torchomatic, you have this internet stuff off to a tee, you turn round a pedantic comment specifically against you only................ into a round of internet bullying and intimidation against people intending to buy ST's whilst SISU are still trashing the club. No one actually said anything about everyone in general, just you, because you utterly grate with anyone of any ethical and moral stance against this disaster.
