Pressley is a nice chap by all accounts and it is too early to be calling for his head. However I'm in the camp that believes he should never have been appointed to begin with.
I think he will ultimately fail at this club. I think he says what he believes in his interviews and do not think it's public and private opinion. Sometimes there is a gut reaction to managers and based on experience to date as with Thorn he is never ever going to cut it at the management helm here. I don't want another season (should we get the chance of having one!) where we are scuppered 10 games in again before we do something about it. I just sense that with Pressley. He arrived and immediately said he had to change things about how we played, tweak this and tweak that, play like he wants. OK fine but would you have done that to a team, through no fault of their own had just lost a successful manager, who had taken them from a disastrous start to the cusp of the playoffs with the best away record in the league? Pressley does indeed live on another planet. He speaks a lot of hot air. His decisions so far have puzzled me regarding team selection and substitutions. Poor at best. He sounds so naïve when referring to 'all things SISU' and Joy Sepella that this guy is definitely not capable of self thinking on a strong level, a vital asset of his job. If this football club is going anywhere we better get a strong and experienced man in ready for next season.
The only thing that can change my mind would be a 10 game unbeaten start next season. I'll give him that time and hope it will not place us at the exact same position we were in this season having to come from behind.
If I was in charge though, he would be gone.
