"ACL will continue to do all it can to work with administrator & League to resolve matters. The Ricoh Arena doors are open to Coventry City. Following the adjournment of meeting administrator will continue investigations into CCFC Ltd and we welcome his words on Friday regarding the Golden Share".

So we're still looking at some kind of development Friday then?

Think it refers to last Friday when PA said the Golden share was with Ltd.

As we have got meetings with the club/TF maybe we can start to put pressure on ACL & CCC to meet with the fans so we can hear there side of the story.

exactly

if it wasnt a sisu idea i think alot of fans would back a new stadium, we need to get away from council

A few fans maybe but not the majority.
Most fans are happy with the Ricoh, its a world class stadium.
I cannot really believe another stadium outside the Coventry area, a third of the size and half the quality is really what these anti ACL fans want.

Question. Does anybody really know whether ACL would ever sell the stadium to CCFC.

Dont need anybodys side of the story at the moment what we do need is as I told Tim on Tuesday is for him to pick up the phone phone Acl and say lets talk now sort the Ricoh out for this coming season so weve got a ground to play in. If there are personal issues with him and someone at Acl then get someone else from each side with no personal issues to negotiate These things would happen

1 If they do talk and come to some sort of arrangement they are both showing some kind of concern for the club
2 If Acl refuse then draw your own conclusion
3 If tim does phone he gains a miniscule amount of respect because at least he for once will have shown some sort of concern for the club

All I can say that on tuesday he showed he had the balls to talk to us will he have the balls to swallow his pride or whatever it is thats stopping him doing it. If he cant then get Appleton to do it.
This could be sorted in days even hours then Appleton could concentrate on the other things takeover etc but it at least gives this great club a fighting chance because if it doesn't happen we are dead

Forgot to say Maton just keep your mouth shut we have potential investors and you come out with your concerns I dont give a damn what your concerns are but the investors just might. This great city never mind the football club is suffering because of petty mindedness and the sort of political dogma that you spout.
If these people walk away because of your actions I will go after you just like I have with Sisu you are reinforcing Sisus stance in relation to CCC

yet mutton is sounding off again on not giving too much of the ricoh to new owners either...
No I think it was Maton again (not Mutton) and he should shut up in my opinion, at a time when careless talk could cost bids.

Yeah. The council were out of order building a stadium for the club to play in. We could and should have moved to Walsall in 2003.

Exactly - don't you remember CCFC bigwigs begged the Council to build the stadium after they'd completely ballsed up the club's finances. Talk about ingratitude.

Couple of thoughts spring to mind here, why are ACL working with the FL? I can see they'd be in talks with the administrator as they are a creditor and we are led to believe the company in admin holds the lease. But what are ACL talking to the FL about?

Would also be good to have clarification on "Ricoh Arena doors are open to Coventry City" given the confusion at the moment over exactly what Coventry City is. Do they mean anyone the FL decides are in control are welcome and on what terms? The terms of the lease, the terms the last 3 games of the season were played on?

We have been saying this now for months, there is a major issue behind the scenes that like it or not we don't know about. You have said nothing different to what he will be told at meeting tonight or anyother future meetings.
As supporters we have the right to know now what is happening to our club & why there is very little information from all side including the FL, just moaning through the press. If ACL won't talk to CCFC/SISU true get Appleton to sort this. If he is running the club not SISU this surely is part of his job.

As you say like them or not at least he has the bottle to put himself in front off the masses though, about time others did the same.

Maybe they are a bidder? Who knows? They all seem to be weaving their own alternative tangled webs, it seems to me. I guess that's modern big business?

Never really given the idea of ACL buying ccfc any credence, but it does have some merit in that it would put the stadium and the club together in the very short term, and deliver a nice package to sell on swiftly to a preferred bidder.

Whilst i don't agree with the council stance on the Ricoh as such, don't think that anybody should be knocked for having concerns about any potential owners, rigour should be applied to any owners or prospective owners of the club.

Not many seemed to have any concerns about Sisu when they came in, and those that did were called Leicester and Villa fans for not supporting our glorious new overlords.

Seems people willing to make the same mistakes over and over, then go crying about it a few years later.

it could well be that ACL are bidding to buy CCFC ltd. Makes sense really, if the golden share is in ltd and the FL are happy for it to remain there then they have a pretty strong case, owners of the stadium, their debt has been secured by the council paying off the mortgage etc. If they had control of the club then they would be safeguarding their biggest income stream (and it is the biggest and most important source of income, despite their claims to the contrary). In many way it would be the simplest transaction and the least disruptive. Even if holdings have all the players its probably simpler to buy in a whole new team than it is to sort out the stadium ownership with a new buyer and extricate SISU from the whole sorry shambles.

You dont spout off with objections statements etc before you find out what if anything is on offer. Makes a mockery of "Coventry's open for business"
