Would be good to include the timescales and discussions TF outlined to the London supporters club.

Should be pointed out to TF that the Ricoh took 8 years to build, and that was with full backing from the Council and fans.

Thinking his tin pot ground could be built in 3 years is delusion of the highest order.

Thanks for this. It's really handy.

If you're up for comments I'd suggest you make more of the fact that the opening of the Ricoh was an utter fiasco. I still think the fact that we didn't have a big name club to help get us started and then the possibility of a full-house for our first few games cost us a great deal. A momentum could have begun then with large crowds but just like everything else it was an utter balls up.

To be fair though it should have been ready in 3 years but they had to, 1st clear off the gypsies that had claimed it was their land, then there was the rare species of bird that held it up and to top it off we ran out of cash. Hence the 8 years !!

Chorlton, 2 teams were lined up before the delay , they were Barcelona and Inter Milan but the risk of having to cancel them meant they never happened.

TBH it might have been frogs or toads, i only remember LMAO at some pathetic spin on the delays.

Now that you mention it I do remember someone in the Telegraph moaning about the threat to wildlife on there.

As I remember it the only wildlife on there was winos and druggies.

This is undoubtedly true.
There are a few on GMK who actually think 3 years is realistic because Tim Fisher said so.
You couldn't make it up

Every statement TF makes is wildly optimistic from the SISU PR angle.. basically it is all bullcrap.
