Hi, I have just registered on this forum but have been following it for a few years. I live in Leamington and have supported the Sky Blues since the early 70's.
I have a few thoughts on our current situation which I will post under a different thread. I hope we can come out of our current dilemna stronger and begin to challenge for promotion next season.

There are a few dodgy people on here.

Never any good for us, used to do a lot our local derbies v Leicester,Villa, Blues or Albion. Think he just didn't like us or Jimmy Hill more probably.

Jack Taylor was a butcher from Shifnal (on the Wolverhampton side of Telford).

Can't honestly remember him reffing Cov games, but I do remember him giving Holland a penalty after 90 seconds of the World Cup Final played in West Germany - against West Germany!

He reffed a number of our bames in the late 60s. He was certainly our top referee for a number of years but we seemed to always get him on a bad day, mind you when you are crap and losing most it's always the referee to blame.

Jack Taylor only refereed two cov matches
derby home 71-72 ,2-2
stoke away 76-77 ,lost 1-0

Brilliant

Another bit of Rupert's knowledge that shows he has no knowledge at all.

Yeah, Kirkpatrick was my fave. He could always be seen having a laugh with the players.
