Protest Action against SISU at Home matches (1 Viewer)

OK I said I would post again but................. cant resist, what a mess!!

So lets assume we play next season under the Sisu regime at lets say 'Nene Park', what is the plan to show our absolute objection/ resistance to SISU?

OK so a lot of fans are just going to go to away matches, fair enough

But what about the Home matches we need to do something that protests to the owners with causing as little damage as possible to the running of the team

So I suggest , assuming we are at Nene Park, we all attend the Home Matches, but attend in our CCFC Shirts and stay around the ground, welcome the Harry Shaw coach with the palyers , cheer them into the ground and then stay outside (without paying entrance money to SISU) and sing as loud as we can the Sky Blue Anthem throughout the match and cheer the players back onto the coach

This way the players get our support, we show how strong the SBA is to the media (and probably get Media attention), without giving SISU any of our hard earned money, but SISU will still have to meet massive police/stewarding costs to police all the SBA Fans that are sitting/ standing in the car park around the stadium

This works whatever ground Sisu agree to play at

so is this the plan for all Home games next season? I for one happy to travel to wherever our 'Home Ground' is to do this - what your thoughts

Nothing can be decided till a venue is announced.

Yeah, it is frustrating.. but there it is

I've actually seen worse ideas, like the way it's positive rather than negative.

bit concerned it'd be counterproductive if less than a coachful turned up, and would also be concerned it'd be infiltrated with the odd flying picket to give the publicity of city fan fighting city fan!

can we stick to the title of the thread please?

this is not about Hastings or if I am related to someone

really I know we are all 'spaced out' about everything thats happening at CFFC

but.............................

wherever we play our home games is there a plan by someone, somewhere to organise a sensible 'Home game' protest?

Something like that would be the ultimate in people or should i say fan power, but won't. Don't think it will need to either as kicking-off at the Ricoh imo is a certainty.

Don't you mean Hastings Actually? You know when someone asks "Where abouts in Brighton do you live?" and you reply "it's Hove Actually!!!" ;)

I have as it happens, a few times. It used to be nice in the 80s, but looks a little rough now. Nuneaton-On-Sea.

The 80s was probably the low point for Hastings. It has improved a lot over the last few years and is probably going to get a lot better.

There are many people that are happy to commute to London from seaside towns. Brighton and other 'desirable' places are getting too expensive, so people are seeking alternatives. Hastings, Whitstable and even Margate have all improved as places to live in the last few years.

I went on a few scooter runs there in the 80s and it seemed nice.

I've been back twice in the last three years and it looked terrible. Full of charity and pound shops, the centre looked rough as hell. It was pissing down both times so maybe that was why. It might look OK in the sun.

I must admit that I rarely go to Hastings centre, but "full of charity and pound shops" and "rough as hell"? I suppose it must be difficult to see clearly with that permanent sneer on your face.

Here's a recent link to an article that has a rather different view of Hastings http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2012/may/18/lets-move-hastings-east-sussex.

OK really silly for me to think that anyone on this forum actually now gives a toss !!

So this whole reply theme has become whether Hastings is a nice place to live rather than whether the Football club I have supported for 50 years is about to be closed down for the benefit of shit bag money men out to make a buck

Wish i hadnt bothered now, dont worry I wont post again - Good Luck hope all goes well in Coventry the place of my birth, the City that was once saomething to be proud of and the Football club that once set new ideas alight - Sky Blue Express, Minimum Wage and Full Seater Stadiums

Goodbye and Goodluck - PUSB

I worked with someone from Hastings once. He said it was a right shithole. It got named pretty high up in that "Crap Towns" book.

Well, I'm not going to argue over the merits of living in Hastings and I won't take one article in isolation, we can all do that. Just search Google for "Living In Hastings".
