It does seem a bit of a silly argument tbf, especially as within this argument we're assuming we're at the Ricoh.

He's bonkers and I'm bored now.

I know, its been coming for years, and i'm bloody going to enjoy it as well.

Now where is my mate Grenduffy, he must have that evidence by now

How's Miss Diane these days?

She's fine, leave her alone

You called me juvenile, and I have the evidence to back this up, has it got so bad for you that you have resorted to childish name calling.

Anyway, back to this evidence you have, how's it going, because i'm so looking forward to it looking through your various points

Right end of argument and my last post on this particular thread
I exposed the resident idiot, full stop, and I have the evidence to prove it as he clearly can not produce definite figures for his argument. All he can do is point you to a few blokes talking on a forum as his whole evidence. You can't believe he went on for so long can you with such flimsy evidence

Thank you all ,and lets get back to talking SISU / accounting problems and groundshares

I should have retained my dignity while he continued to lose his. Sometimes I just can't help myself. I guess his aim was to railroad the thread as it was generally supportive of my stance. With his constant goading he managed to succeed.

We lost to Leeds...season downhill from that point on.

Not quite Cov-Leeds was Nov 5th and we were in the play offs in 4th place 3 points ahead of 7th.. Attendance 28,184

6 weeks later it was Cov-Norwich, we were 4 points clear of 7th place at the time in 5th position. Attendance 15,230

We were still right in the mix up until the new year and we never came close to it again in attendance

Our fans have a sheep mentality and follow the crowd, creating a snowball effect where an idea gathers momentum over time, hence MK Dons and Crewe this season. Had Leeds not bought such a good following that day we wouldn't have had close to 22k home fans that day, in this case the Leeds fans were the catalyst for the snowball effect.

The extra fans that day came as a direct response to Leeds bringing 6k and the excitement of a decent away following coming to the Ricoh, I'm sure of it

Is this like the evidence you had that made you post time and time again that there was no-one out there but SISU?
You got that one drastically wrong, have never admitted that you got that one drastically wrong and have never admitted that you were in the wrong when you aimed your inane comments at people who turned out to be correct because there were in fact plenty out there who wanted us, and three others put final bids in for us along with SISU.
SO WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO ADMIT YOU WERE WRONG DUFFY AND ADMIT THAT YOU WERE TOTALLY INCORRECT TO POST YOUR CRAP AND CLAIM THAT YOU KNEW BETTER THAN ALL THOSE YOU TRIED TO PUT DOWN WHEN THEY SUGGESTED THAT THERE WERE OTHER BUYERS OUT THERE?

When will you ever have the courage to stand up and admit you are wrong, not just on this but most of the time.

This is spot on. A good 10 people who didn't really go at the time made damn sure they came with us for this game, and Leeds' big following was the exact and only reason.

I'd imagine it was more the sense of occasion a big away following created than Peoplewatching: Yorkshire edition.

All fantasy I'm afraid. We have no details of these bids at all. We know nothing about them and how sustainable they were. We know nothing about the arrangement they would have had to make with ACL and the council so no I was not wrong.

Wrong most of the time well let's explore the big issues;

Thorn - dead right about him
Ricoh Arena - always said the arrangement was a disaster - right again
Rent arrangement - always too high and unsustainable

So no I don't see that I am wrong. I could technically have been a bidder - so could you. Sustainability is the key and no evidence that any were -- is there?

The rent agreement was unsustainable, well how the feck did you spot that.
We shouldn't have moved from Highfield Road, good spot again.
And then "Thorn is the wrong man" good god you spotted it, because after being relegated and being near the bottom of league 1 the season after, no-one else would have spotted that.

Thank the lord we have you to spot the bleeding obvious

CCFC , good set of figures , but were we under Admin and had to deal with the various fan protests. Its absolutely pointless to quote figures from the past as I, You , and even Grenduffy, know what will happen this season. We might get a sellout, we might sell half the capacity out, no-one knows, and yet again barring EVIDENCE we can not say for certain

We all post our fair of bollocks, but Grenduufy thinks he's above all this, he spends more on the skyblues than the fans who live abroad ,don't forget.

He hasn't the brain to realise that the one's abroad spend an awful lot on the skyblues ,and many like me before March this year who come back a few times a season to support the club we love, buy matchday tickets, and buy lots of merchandise on line, but No ,that doesn't help the club at all, but don't forget he's spends much more than anyone from outside Britain ,which he shoves this down the throat of everyone who do live outside the UK.

He can not back up his words at all, so how anyone can take him remotely seriously is beyond me.

Now does every team that have fans outside the UK have fans who don't contribute to their clubs at all, right though from the Premier to League 2, course not, but grenduffy says this happens at Cov. Do you believe Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool etc have fans worldwide that don't contribute to the club, of course they do but Grenduffy say's they are not worthy,, but no Grenduffy outspends them all and anyone who lives abroad is not worthy of supporting Cov at all. Every pound someone spends is vital to this club, whether abroad or not, but lets all say thanks to Grenduffy for keeping the club afloat alone

Its total bull shite and everyone knows it

Oh okay, no one else said the same did they. Most were saying he should go after the first five/six games of the season, but no Grenduffy spotted it first. God we are so lucky to have you

Correct at last, I fecking hate you, and your better than most fans attitude because you live in the UK

I really don't think that he thinks that. The only reason it was mentioned was due to the 'not a penny more' shite.
And how it's a hell of a lot easier to say you aren't going to any games next year when it's difficult for you to go anyway, because you are abroad.
No 'I'm better than you' talk, he's even given his reason why he asked how many games someone went to.

I don't know the bloke, but you have had a serious meltdown over very little here chap.

This guy is so delusional it is not worth even trying to talk sense with him. To support his stupid argument he is now claiming that there weren't really any other bids than SISU's.
Surely he belongs in an asylum?

So who is being superior now? Who is talking down to others now? Why not just say you think the campaign is wrong instead of labelling it "shite".

Ok, I think the campaign is wrong. Better?
I retract saying 'shite'

I really don't fancy a ten page argument about one word.
Friends?

I'd have thought that "shite" accurately reflected your views on it without any need of clarification to be honest.
