That's not what the chairman said that is what the presenter Nick Clithero said. The chairman said there was a long way to go. The crowd estimate came from interviewing 3 random coventrians in the city centre.

The chairman doesn't want to incur any dissatisfaction from his own club's fans. Getting an extra few hundred k a year will change his mind.

If you want an angle, you might like to ask your board about the consequences to your own council loan, if our club wins its action against our council.
I'd assume each case is separate, but it's food for thought that our actions could take away indirectly far more than we give, directly.

It always has to reach a stage where the threat is real, for it to have any bargaining power.
Personally I expect half a dozen games elsewhere to make a statement, then a deal being struck.
High risk though, high risk, and the stakes aren't just the club buggering off for a few years, those stakes would be almost tolerable. This path is potentially far darker than that...

The biggest threat is ACL will do what they have to do and it won't be CCFC returning under the guise of SISU.

Thankfully each case is different. Ours is quite complex but basically the sale of land will be repaying back the £12million loan and also earning us a bit more money into the bargain.

we started our 'redevelopment' 8 years ago, take us that long to get the deal signed.Not to 70-80-90% of the fans though ,if I were ACL I'd wait It out.

The threat is real however.
And we might all lose, permanently.
That's not making a judgement on who's right or wrong, that's where we are.
Don't underestimate the threat, this is as far as I can see the exit strategy, and how the exit plays out could happen in all kinds of ways...
I'm entirely aware of that threat and Will view the use of It to remind me why they could never be considered Fit and Proper ,the moment came and went ,four bidders in the Mix ,that was the top of the Cycle.

It's already cost us our academy for a start, and even if a deal was struck at the last minute, it's cost us a pre-season under embargo and undoubtedly will have had a massive hit on ST sales. The damage is already being done and it can't be easily undone.
