Ha ha, he's the useless lump of crap that I predicted was the sort of dross that Thorn would be targeting in the Transfer Window of the (last) relegation season (he was at Hereford at the time). At least it took us a while to sink that low!

Bit more mobile than Platt and looks very strong. That right foot is definitely only for standing on though. If he's here for a full pre season and signs, I'd be ok with him in the squad.

But this is what I've been waiting for. Players being linked with us. That's when it feels like pre season to me!

all of his carlisle appearances were as subs

I think we should see him in action before writing him off. I mean Gillingham fans are excited about cody and his record for us is shocking

To be fair, we've never really replaced Kevin Kyle...

Yes, unfortunately I think we can look forward to lot more 'ball lickers'.

Took me a bit to get that one. Well done. And all without a ball having been licked in anger yet!

If I remember rightly we didn't want McGoldrick either as his strikerate was "shocking".

there we go, we just have severely pessimistic fans. although that is understandable considering our plight.

There is zero chance of us being able to sign anyone in the next 5 weeks and it very easily could be significantly longer, it's not going to take much for us not to be able to sign anyone until the January transfer window, then if the football league actually implement there rules we will be in another embargo due to ffp, So we could go the entire season without signing a player, theres some pessimism for you, unfortunately it's also realism.

Well If we've all worked out the likely Playing Budget for the coming season I guess its not so simple to run things by the board when convincing them £2M. Is feasible from the likely turnover at Sixfields while reducing prices etc from 3000 fans.

This is obviously being reflected In Pressleys ever shrinking comments around bringing players In while Increasingly pushing the Youth agenda. There has obviously been a spanner In the Works after assuming we'd be playing first @ Walsall then Blues and finally Northampton.

Didn't I read somewhere that SP is actively looking at Conference level players due to budget restrictions. Perhaps he is planning for the future?

A striker who is clearly technically good and his size suggests he should be decent in the air, clearly needs to play regular football which he didn't get at Reading or Carlisle. Will fit in with Pressely's system in the loan front man role, much much technically better than Clarke having seen both play, Sign him up

Just finished uni in Reading, my ex-housemate used to briefly date this Manset chap. Met him on a night out with the rest of the Reading team (then Championship, 2010-11) and he didn't seem to spend nearly as much as McAnuff, Kebe and co. Therefore he must be shite!

A couple of people who don't know much about football may have thought that. Those of us who had seen him play thought he was a cracking signing.

I've seen enough of Manset playing to say that he's a big clumsy lump, IMO.

That said I'm still feeling towards CCFC a bit how you feel for the first few weeks after being dumped by a girl you love. All the pent up anger at the years of tolerance has somewhat burst loose. CCFC is a bitch, she can rot in hell!
