A number of people have said thy hope the club are liquidated. I feel that if this happens, CCFC will be dead and never recover. All talks of a Phoenix club seem like a pipe dream. We couldn't get enough fans to support a premiership team, what makes people think that we'd ever escape from non league status.

Agree with your opening point, but not sure I share your downer on our support. We averaged over 20,000 in ourt last 4 Premiership seasons in a ground that didn't hold much more than 22K, and there were always clubs in the PL getting lower gates than us. We turned out in numbers after our move to the RIcoh too, but it didn't exactly do any good. Nothing wrong with our support, and it has held up well all things considered.

Cov fans are far too fickle. I feel some people are happy when we lose so they can moan. If I wanted to support a team that won all the time I'd have been a Liverpool fan as a kid. I didn't want that, I wanted to support the club where I came from through good and bad. I'd live to see them win but there are far too many fair weather fans.

I agree, in the unlikely event of being liquidated a new Coventry would have huge support , so much so that there is no way we would start 9 leagues down.
All hypothetical though !

Mate we will be dead already if we kick off at Northampton, I would never wish liquidation upon CCFC but I have accepted that it may be a possibiity and I will not freak out if it happens.

This club has been on life support for the past 10 years and liquidation has always been a possibility, I have reached a state where if it happens I will be sad but calm. Then we will have to pick up the pieces and hopefully with SISU gone we can all pull together as fans and these divisions can be forgotten that they have created.

No matter which way forward each of us feels is right we are all City fans and I would sit down with any of you and blow the froth off a couple of cold ones and conjure up memories of days gone by.

You may all be Feckin idiots for going to Northampton but at the end of the day you're my Sky Blue brothers and brothers are always going to fall out;)

I see liquidation and rebirth in non league as the best chance of getting our club back. Drastic I know but I don't believe sisu have any intention of building a new stadium in cov. Well play in Northampton for 5 years and then they'll either move us or if they haven't bust the Ricoh by then liquidate us anyway. Either way I think were fooked. I say starve sisu out and hope someone like ph1v picks up the pieces and unites the club with the Ricoh. Can't see a positive outcome under sisu.

Who has said they hope the club are liquidated? Surely nobody wants that.

I don't think many WANT liquidation. Many want the CVA rejected. The hope being that the investigations into asset transferring & wrongdoing might then continue & uncover something that'll lead to TF/JS/SISU downfall. The other thing which they seem to ignore is the PA threat to liquidate. It is only a threat at this stage...

In other words you want us to play in Northampton because it makes your prefered outcome (liquidation) much more likely. Deep down then you must welcome the prospect of the club relocating?

Why do we not get huge support now?
I meant huge in relative terms to non league , apart from that the total and utter nonsense surrounding this club for years has just pushed thousands over the edge.
I would imagine many would return at the thought of their club being returned to them, in whatever form.

After 45 years of thin apart from 87 if you think I am fickle then fuck you

There's plenty of people who have openly said they think it would be a good thing.

No they didn't. They said that They'd prefer that option to continued SISU involvement, which clearly shows the strength of feeling. But nobody wants the club liqiudated!

But there is a real chance of that. I'm just clinging to the hope that a miracle happens. I don't want sisu here but I want a club.

Won't it only be ccfc ltd that will be liquidated if the cva is rejected. I believe after the assets from ltd were sold to otium all that is left in ltd will be the lease.it won't effect the club..I may be wrong . anyway it won't be just the weather hotting up in the next two weeks . It's going to be an eventful fewdays.

How are cov fans fickle. Your fickle so your speaking for yourself and you dont even know your doing it. Our away support has been second to none even though were shit, last season 7000k at Arsenal, 5000k at spurs, 5000k at Mk dons, yeah really shit?? our home attendances a few years ago were 21000. Im surprised we even managed to average 10000 last season with all the bull shit the fans have been fed by our owners. Get a grip.

Cov fans are no more fickle than any other fans, just more starved than nearly all other fans is all. It's interesting that you viewed your loyalty as a choice, a decision. For me it was never a choice... I'm from Cov, no choice involved.

I read your forum out of interest and I do have sympathy with your current predicament, but to claim that taking large a following to premiership sides in a cup competition shows proof of your away support is a bit of an own goal! all it shows is supporters of a division 3 club having a big day out. and before I get shot down Lester have been in the same situation I know!

We finished 15th in league one you moron, our support was second to none last season.

I didn't criticise your support! moron, I merely pointed out that taking a large away following to a premiership ground in a cup competition was the rule rather than the exception for a lower tier club! And I acknowledged that it was something that Lester had done when we spent our season in the third tier.
If you cant understand that then f u
