There used to be more than 2 horses charging around Gosford Park after the match in the 70's

Yep.....remember my brother managed to get attacked on Gosford Park by a group of Norwich fans and they only took about 50 to the game. Think he must have walked under a ladder

Hope so - reckon the numbers will swell in the City Centre itself (lazy buggers on a hot day and all that) Don't care if all the Primark shoppers swell the ranks as long as it looks ok on the TV!:blue:

I still laugh now at the memories of a large looking Man u fan complete with silk scarf on the wrist being chased by about 40 city yobbos ( term of the day ). After about 100 yards he got pissed off and stopped , turned round and in true Keystone kops started chasing them back up the road ! The sight of one man chasing them towards what is now SBW has stayed with me forever. !!!

Similar to that.....A Newcastle fan entering the West End, being told he couldn't bring his cans of Brown Ale in, and knocking both back in about 30 seconds flat - no arguing, just went for it - impressive! Later inside, couple of City yobbos threatening another (older) Geordie, who just responded by explaining how they could come across harder if they did such and such....comedy gold, they just walked off, nonplussed !

I think that's unlikely to happen now :-D

what was that quote by TF about meeting fans in town ?
rumour has it that he'll be in Broadgate to talk at the fans,
not talk too though

I couldn't imagine being a City fan, living locally, and not going. There should be thousands and thousands going. If there isn't then frankly we deserve to go down the pan (or as it is officially referred to - Northampton).

Similar thing with me when I was a steward at HR. Couple of blokes approached the turnstiles and as I did a random "pat down" search, I discovered a half bottle of scotch in his pocket. "Sorry sir", I said "alcohol isn't allowed inside the ground."
"Well, I ain't wasting it!" he said, and between him and his mate, proceeded to knock back the contents. When they'd finished, I said "Sorry lads, I can't allow you in. You're pissed!"
I loved being a steward sometimes! :)
