Is the CVA delay positive or negative ? (7 Viewers)

Delaying an answer to this CVA for another week is annoying, still got the Sixfields threat, still unable to bring new blood in, but then again it does indicate there is at least some dialogue going on. Is that positive ? Seppala did say she wanted the CVA signed before getting involved in any discussion re. the Hoffman proposal and I am certain ACL are saying we won't sign with this ground share hovering over our head, at least I hope that is their bottom line.

It also gives another 7 days for any other developments and we have to wonder who asked for this delay, sisu, acl or Appleton, we will probably never know. To be honest I am a little more positive than I was, or is that fools gold ?

Personal opinion, I think the delay is positive. I thnk SISU would like this all to go away now, and I can't help but think that it's ACL who are stalling, perhaps in the hope of further investigations and/or pressure on the FL to change their stance.

Its interesting that the Higgs charity and the Council apparently have different opinions on the future - could this be an internal divide of ACL? Do the council want to back down and accept and Higgs want to refuse?

Positive for me would be playing at the Ricoh. I think that's the most important goal. Getting rid of SISU can wait until we're back in the City. Just my opinion.

ACl/council and Higgs Trust divided, can't see that and I would have thought ACL went into that meeting prepared and almost certainly knowing which way they were going, you definitely don't go into important final do or die meetings split. I would think something appeared that caused one or the other to think again. SISU head honcho Seppala wasn't there, I assume the ACL big-wigs were, so who needed more time ?

Wouldn't it be the other way round? I'm sure there was an article about Higgs potentially offering their stake for something like £4m?

Throwing this in, didn't want to start yet another thread. Peterborough United & their rental agreement with their council. Seems they've had a rent reduction from £500,000 down to £300,000 with renovation work as well.

I'm not sure that's on the table either way is it? This meeting certainly isn't really about that. It's about whether we exit admin via a cva or head towards liquidation.

I think PWKH was stating the position of the Higgs Trust. He's not in a position to comment on the councils opinion.

If you read it it's not quite that straightforward.

As part of a new 25-year lease Posh's rent will increase to £380,000 per year when the Moy's End work is complete, with construction expected to begin in September, and the council will be due £430,000 a year when both stands are finished, thought to be by the start of the 2015-16 campaign.

Also says their ground was sold 3 years ago for £8m, so if rent on a stadium worth £8m is £300K then £400K for the Rioch would seem to be a bargain!

The CVA is there for ACL to sign up to isn't it - the adjournment meant in the first instance they refused the administrator's offer.

Peterboro ground fairly antiquated. Though the plus for it is that it is fairly centrally located. Unlike the Ricoh.
Think it's pretty clear Sisu just want something for nothing at every turn.
Still no details of this proposed new ground.
At least ACL haven't just turned up & signed the CVA, which is what we are hoping they'd do, decline it. Sisu have got to be exposed. To be honest I'd take another 15 point hit if it got rid of them. What function rooms have you ever been to Peterborough:facepalm:So for 400k Sisu want everything the rents for the Casino hotel rooms conferences ffs. There would be none of these at London Road get real

I agree with you about the atmosphere, but who's fault is it that the Ricoh is only one third full?

And the way to recreate that atmosphere isn't to keep moving to a smaller ground until you can fill it.
