So TSB you heard this from a director of another club that you cant name?:thinking about:
Just a few questions TSB
These were supposed to be secret talks and a director of another club told you about them?
Presumably only a few people knew of this meeting because all parties concerned tried to keep it a secret and a director of another club that you cant mention was told about it?
This director of another clunb that you cant mention told you about it presumably in confidence?
You couldnt wait to break that confidence and now its public knowledge Telegraph Cwr
Which director of a football club that I cant mention will according to a newspaper that I cant mention not be at the non secret meeting:thinking about:
I do hope TSB you havent given certain parties an excuse to not take the non secret meeting seriously or to back out

Alternatively, we could be playing in Northampton with the same shit owners and a piss poor squad of players.

Lesser of two evils, I think.

Trouble is though, if we go back to the Ricoh a lot of our fans will bury there heads in the sand about sisu just like they did for years before this ground share rubbish was muted.Sisu are a cancer.

Why not just name who gives you this information, they must know your a bit of a big mouth and cannot keep a secret.

Unless, its a double ploy, to make sure it all gets out?

Surely if he does name them he gets no more info in the future?

this was a total one off, im no insider and i can assure you all the director gave me info to share. all can say is if i name him i get nothing more. and im not likely to get much more,. once these meetings are over i believe my friend may no longer have any interest in ccfc. he was wrong about the fa chairman mediating though, but it was asked of Greg Dyke to chair - he supposedly refused, the usual suspects are clambering to chair: mps, meps, local business men etc.. personally i think they should let both parties in a room and lock the door. all i know now is these talks are break or make and the word is Sisu want it all or nothing. take from that what you want.

Is this the wrong account or a different person?

Looking at the account details they may be different people, can't be 100% sure it is the same.. Jammydodge may be on the wind up ;)

[h=1]Warring parties agree secret talks in last-ditch attempt to keep Sky Blues in Coventry[/h]24 Jul 2013 06:45Sisu/Otium and Arena Coventry Limited to enter negotiations over keeping Coventy City at Ricoh Arena

Negotiations over the Sky Blues staying at the Ricoh Arena have been secretly scheduled for this week, the Telegraph can exclusively reveal.
Coventry City Football Club owners Sisu/Otium and part-council-owned Ricoh company Arena Coventry Limited (ACL) agreed on Monday to negotiate for the first time since March - when the club went into administration in a bitter legal wrangle.
It has been kept a closely guarded secret since the agreement at a creditors’ meeting held by administrator Paul Appleton after all sides agreed to a “media blackout”.
But the Telegraph has learned Coventry city councillors were briefed about it on Monday night by council finance director Chris West, who, alongside council chief executive Martin Reeves, is a director of ACL.

Coventry City Council Chief Executive Martin Reeves It will be viewed as a last-ditch attempt to prevent Coventry City moving out of the city and playing ‘home’ games at Northampton Town for up to five years under Football League-sanctioned plans, while a new stadium is built in the Coventry area.
At least 5,000 joined a march in Coventry city centre on Saturday against the plans.
MPs, the Telegraph and others have campaigned for new negotiations to keep the Sky Blues at the Ricoh or for the Football League and FA to block the Northampton groundshare.
It is understood the negotiations have been scheduled to take place this Friday at the latest.
The two sides’ lawyers will discuss who would be a suitable person to mediate in the discussions as it is believed Mr Appleton’s offer to do so was rejected.
One source said: “We don’t know how far apart the two sides will be.
“They might be coming together reluctantly and it’s not known if they’ll be able to bridge the gap.”
There are many potentially insurmountable hurdles to an eventual agreement - not least a two-sided breakdown in trust and in some cases personal animosity between certain characters involved.
It is believed neither Sky Blues boss Tim Fisher or Sisu boss Joy Seppela will be present.
It is thought the club could be represented by director Mark Labovitch, finance director Steve Brookfield and development director Steve Waggot.
steve-waggott-915929133-2968123.jpg
Steve Waggott ACL is expected to be represented by Mr West and fellow director Paul Harris.
It is not known if there will be a seat at the table for Peter Knatchbull-Hugessen of the Alan Edward Higgs Charity, which half owns ACL alongside the council.
It is understood Coventry City owners Sisu/Otium have reluctantly agreed to negotiate because they desperately want ACL to sign Mr Appleton’s proposed Creditor Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) to enable the club to exit administration.
The Telegraph understands Coventry City will insist on ACL signing the CVA before there can be any second round of discussions over playing at the Ricoh.
The club desperately wants CCFC Limited to exit administration so that a Football League transfer embargo can be lifted, to enable new players to be signed.
The earliest the club can come out of administration is three weeks into the new season - which starts in ten days - as a 28-day “cooling off” period must follow any CVA agreement.
Mr Appleton has stated the alternative to CCFC Ltd exiting administration via a CVA is liquidation - which could incur a further 15-point League deduction from the club’s 2013/14 Division One campaign.
It is thought ACL is willing to discuss terms over rent payments and who receives matchday revenues - after it previously offered to lower annual rent from £1.3million to £400,000.
Sources believe Ms Seppala will be highly reluctant to enter into any partnership in the Ricoh, or return to being a tenant with ACL or the council as owner.
It is thought she will want 100 per cent ownership of the Ricoh, and that ACL will not want to sell on those terms.
The price of any such sale would also potentially be a major stumbling block.
Talks collapsed last year over Sisu becoming partners in ACL by buying out the Higgs charity’s 50 per cent share for around £4m.
Another major problem is Sisu’s outstanding High Court application for a judicial review against Coventry City Council’s £14m taxpayer deal in January to buy out ACL’s ‘mortgage’ bank loan.
The club claims the council acted against ‘state aid’ laws, created unfair competition and sought to “wrest control” of the club from its lawful owners - allegations the council denies.
Monday’s creditors’ meeting was adjourned until next Tuesday, when Mr Appleton will hope the CVA will be agreed.
PM2947915MR160513MEET-13-Medium-3903630.jpg
Paul AppletonAmendments to his CVA proposal could also be discussed in this week’s negotiations, sources claim.
Mr Appleton’s CVA proposal is to pay back £590,000 to ACL, partly as a proportion of the club’s £1.3m rental debts, through a £1.5m sale of CCFC Ltd to Otium.
He claims Otium had made the best offer, ahead of a bid by US property investor Preston Haskell IV, for the relatively limited assets in CCFC Ltd - and that another company, CCFC (Holdings) Ltd, held the major assets including players’ contracts.
The Telegraph yesterday reported there was confusion as to whether talks were about to take place - after a previously planned mention of “negotiations” was removed from Mr Appleton’s statement yesterday concerning the outcome of the creditors’ meeting.
Until now, ACL has stated the Ricoh doors are “wide open” on a rent-free/matchday-costs-only basis to the administrator - but only while the Sky Blues are in administration, while ACL challenged Sisu/Otium’s right to run the club.

"Just to add guys: the deal will be done tomorrow, they will agree to share the ricoh, higgs selling to sisu: (higgs desperately want rid)" I seriously hope this is the case TSB, it's the correct step forward.

It may of course be that the OP is Ian M Calvert. If he is, he knows about "the meeting on Thursday" because he it was that sent out the invitations. Ian M Calvert is someone who owns a company in Banbury called the Social Piggy. It specialises in using social media “to change the perception of your business”.

Earlier this week I had an e-mail from Mr Calvert inviting me to a meeting to sort out all the issues between ACL/Sisu/CCFC/Council/whatever. I asked him who had been invited and he sent me a list of names. I thought that a polite response from the CEO of ACL was probably the right thing to do, so after consulting colleagues an e-mail was sent politely declining the invitation.

As, I think everyone is aware from the front page article in the Telegraph, other arrangements for talks were being made and I gave it no more thought. I assumed that he was someone of good will who had, with the best of intentions, tried to put themselves into what might have appeared to be a vacuum to bring people together.

The result has not been so benign. Ian M Calvert is a prolific tweeter. I have now been given an idea of what he has been tweeting. He has no future as an honest broker. One of the things he needs to learn is that in order to bring people together you need to win the trust of all parties. He has now written a series of tweets saying that although ACL say we want talks because we have politely declined his invitation our statements are false.

Mr Calvert, if any of you are reading this, we do want talks, we have been working hard to achieve this and will be having talks. Your malign intervention is not helpful to any of the parties nor to the supporters who, with so little information, will grab at anything. If you are just clumsy, okay. If you are not, you are cruel.

To say I have little respect for Mr Calvert is kind. Perhaps one of his other names is Dhinsa?

Out of interest, do you find the Telegraph publishing news of these talks helpful or not?

I can see both sides in that it gives hope, but also risks dashing it if nothing comes of them, and also risks maintaining a climate of distrust as all sides wonder who let them know.

But, well, was curious about your opinion while also fully aware of the irony, that your answer to such a question might be nothing more than a 'no comment' ;-)

Dont ask how i know, all i can say is the info comes from a director level of a certain football club i can not name,

this meeting is taking place

it is to thrash out a deal, as a last resort. If no decision can be reached thats it for this season, it's northampton for one season.

Something also about steven pressley, they reckon he is on about leaving to another league one club

Shut up.

You'll find caps lock on the left of the keyboard in the middle. It's for making big letters.
