I think the two clubs work out a date between them.

Very tricky tie, Bury have just been promoted to League 1.

Anyone who had the pleasure of morecambe last season knows this wont be easy. Although I did see an interview with Thorn recently saying he would always play his
strongest side

Ah good, we have someone on here that can help plan our trip! haha.

I was trying to look up trains from Cov and the national rail website didn't even seem aware of Bury's station. What's the best way up there? Train via Manchester?

And then details for further down the line.... what pubs are good/friendly/well-located? etc etc!

We should try and get a good cup run together. Can't stand it when manager's don't take the cup games seriously.

Thursday morning's first round draw paired the seeded Sky Blues with newly-promoted League One side Bury.

City will travel to Gigg Lane in the week commencing Monday, August 8 and Thorn will be approaching the game like any other - in order to develop a winning habit.

He said:
"I have never played or taken a team to Gigg Lane before but I have scouted there."I don't care who the opposition is, we will be taking every single match very seriously.

"We want to build momentum and a winning mentality and whoever is in possession of the shirt at the time will play.

"This draw has heightened anticipation ahead of the new season and we can't wait to get started."

I'd like to go because the chance to watch city at these grounds doesn't come around very often but last year I took a day off work to get to Morecambe and regretted it!

Chief Commentator!
He's scouted there?? We have signed anyone from Bury since he's been at the club have we?? Is this a recent scouting mission?? Or am I reading too much into his comments??

I for sure will be attending. I like the Carling / FA cup as although people say Clubs hearts are in the cup any more, I like the opportunity to visit grounds ive not been to before. Plus when you go to older / less fasionable grounds, which im assuming Gigg Lane is (havent checked it for sure), the atmosphere is brilliant!!

PUSB!
