Scott Dann v Newcastle in the cup to take it to extra time if I remember correctly?

Won £200 on that one, had a fiver at 40/1 on him for both first and last scorer.

Was well into injury time as well, one of the few times that Gunnarsson's long throw actually came off.

At least those bets only count in normal time!

Did anyone ever find out who the bloke was who placed the £200 bet on the night of the JPT Tie against Preston?

As a kid one that I remember was the week after Sutton we went to Norwich & they were giving us grief all game. Last minute Speedie comes up with one of his chips to give us the 2-1 win.
not huge in context of some of those on here but felt very nice all the same

Gary Mabbutt 16th May 1987 ... even the missus was there and went totally apeshit, and she doesn't even like football.

Huckerby Vs Man Utd every single time.

I also went mental at Clive Platt's 90th minute winner against Barnsley the season we got relegated but I put that down to:
a) All day drinking
b) the previous 90 minutes I had witnessed were the worst I'd seen on a football pitch

With all the doom and gloom on here lets cheer it up abit, Whats the goal you've celebrated the most? i'll start, Gunarsson at Blackburn.

Speedie's hatrick goal against Sheff Wed, Whelan's solo effort and chipped finish (Southampton?), Claus v QPR on Ricoh Day, David Bell's Goal Of The Century against Doncaster.

Dunno what I loved more, a trademark Speedo Chip or one of his spring-heeled headed finishes. What a player.

Not strictly a goal, but Blair Adams celebrating in the JPT, it looked like it meant so much to him - for a brief moment it was more than Football!

Don't know if anyone remembers it but Bristol City away in the F.A Cup (maybe 2006/2007ish?). Finished 3-3 and we equalised with barely 5 minutes to go, may have been Stern John. I have still never heard Cov away fans louder than they were that day. The low roof and old school stand probably helped a lot mind. Was too young to travel whilst we were in the top flight and wasn't even born for our cup run, but for some reason that third goal against Bristol City and the atmosphere in general always sticks out for me.

Aside from that I'd say Dele Adebolas against Coventry, there is a great video on Youtube where you just hear the Cov support roar each time Dele beats a man, then when he slots it home its just a high-pitched scream. Great day

Andy Whings once in a lifetime last goal at Highfield Road on our last game there. I was in the Army in Germany and it cost me close to £400 to get to the game.

Other than that Cyril Regis winning header against Spurs New years day 4 : 3 win
Garry Thompsons winner against West Ham LC Semi final in 79 after he scored an own goal first 1/2.
Peter Bodaks last minute chip against Man city away in the cup after he went the length of the pitch. That was the longest i have ever been kept behind after a game. Bodak came back out suited and booted after getting changed and doing the MOTD interviews and we were still there about 20 minutes after.

For me, the best player I have seen in a City shirt. Proper legend.

Y'know, I think I agree with that. Probably bit biased as the late-80's was my "still-childhood worshipping them as God's" period, but Speedo was truly a footballing God amongst men.

Got to be trademark chip. Makes the keeper look a right plank at the same time

I swear that with some of his that he was the only bloke in the stadium who spotted the space for a chip :D

goal on at 5.35mins

Goal "P" if you don't want to sit through 5 1/2 minutes of the Baker & McGoldrick show. Not quite sure how Wood's 5-yard tap-in made it onto there!

Great goal by Elliott though; I'll lower the tone by saying we should have kept him :(

I am watching the FA Cup Final at the moment and every time I see Houchen's header I still punch the air.
