If True Sky Blue can do it so can I.
It has come to my attention fom a source that I am not at liberty to divulge that SCG members have been offered free season tickets for our "home" games in Northampton. Now here's the rub the majority of the SCG were adamant that they would not travel to "home" games out of Coventry. I would have thought this was showing solidarity with the fans they claim they support you know like the ones that were on the march last week. However it appears that one by one they have accepted theses bri.... sorry free season tickets. I don't know the people on the SCG except for Jan and Steve from the Trust so

Jan and Steve have you been offered free season tickets and if you are are you taking up the offer?
If you are then I think we know what the price of principles is dont we?

just saying, if it's "not one penny more" and the tickets are free, then surely they can go... (I wouldn't though out of principle by the way)

I know they can both speak for themselves but I can assure you Jan and Steve haven't! Wouldn't surprise me if others have been offered them though. Any idea who?

As a lot of you know I'm on the SCG and I can absolutely guarantee we haven't been offered free season tickets. Some members have bought season tickets and some have refused to go to Northampton, me included.

So your source is wrong.

Now if anyone deserves the Judas tag, it's them! They should resign.

Shouldn't your principle be to at least allow them to scotch a rumour before hinting at everyone being a sellout?

Sod that, it'd be boring without knee-jerk reactions on here.

Just one more thing on this, the bit about most being adamant they wouldn't travel is also wrong. All disagreed with it, but many members support the team first and as a result have never been in any doubt as to whether they would travel. As is their right.

They're not really representative of the average City fan now then, are they?

I can 100 % assure I have not been offered any tickets, but am sure they know my views very well. Mr Fisher knows where he can put his tickets.

So those people on the SCG "representing the fans" are about to treat the fans who marched last saturday with the message "Keep Cov in Cov2" with the same contempt as the owners:claping hands::facepalm:

I still can't see how a group of 6 supporters can can claim to be a supporters consultation group.
I've never had any contact from them and they never report on meetings except the last couple because its been highlighted they were taking place

I've been reporting for the last year since I've been an active part of it. The SCG has constantly been up and down because of how many changes there have been at the club. But there are about 18 members from all over representing London supporters, JSBs, block 15, etc.

We've had lots of wins like the jimmy hill statue, moving away fans closer, and general stuff to improve matchday experience.

But it's a group which is as useful for fans as it is for the club, I know dan wants to do alt more with, expand it and maybe have full on days where about 200 fans can come and do stuff. But obviously that's a bit tricky right now.

It seems there will always be fans for and against whichever groups there are. But slating them isn't exactly the best way to unite. We all need to back each other.

Dont you see the conflict here you say we should unite,last weeks march did unite the fans and they sent a clear message to everyone,and that message was keep Cov in Cov. Surely as people who hold themselves up as representatives of the fans in whatever capacity you should respect the message.

but we are all our own people who can make our own choices. You ask them to respect 5000 fans message but you won't respect their freedom to choose what they want to do? They all want to keep Cov in Cov, but maybe they don't agree with staying away as the solution?

I'm not slating the SCG, but I just don't understand it's purpose

It's main purpose is to work with the likes of dan walker to improve the club, it's relationship with fans, matchday experience, etc. it's focus is normally on operational stuff but its been hard to do any of that recently

Do you actually understand what you've just said?

How do/ Can fans get involved?
How do you get into the SCG?
Do you have meetings and can anyone attend?
Are the meetings always with reps of the club?

I got involved cause I had an idea, asked a member of the group about it and he invited me to a meeting.

I'm pretty sure dan walker would be responsive to anyone who wished to get involved.
There are always club reps at meetings, normally fisher and dan walker these days but it used to be more (when there was more!) and we meet once a month depending on what's happened and people's availability.

Does the SCG come under the auspices of the FSF (Football Supporters Federation) as I have noticed than Dan Walker is listed as the SLO (Support Liaison Officer) for CCFC?

Right so we want Cov in Cov unless its Northampton pretty clear to me as well.

No, it really is quite simple.

Some think starve SISU out they'll come crawling back;

Some think starve SISU out the club will go bankrupt and cease to exist;

Some think keep the club going gives SISU a chance to actually show their plans are more than words;

Some think starving SISU will force them to sell;

Some think keep the club going allows there to be a club to be sold.

None of that, and more, stops a united message that Coventry should be in Coventry.

Except ignoring the message and not being united
