Just wondered.................. the statement of facts filed by SISU has been reported on, and I believe relied upon by some to make assumptions as to wrong doing. Have the Council filed their defence and if so has anyone seen it or has it been reported on ? I havent seen such a report or any of the documents although I might have missed it. Does the defence become publically available (for a fee) like the SISU papers? Anyone know?

If I remember correctly SISU have only applied for a JR - the first hearing is whether they're allowed to proceed - so no 'defence' required at the moment, and all councillors told to decline discussing any relevant details.

Why would they 'want' anything that'd cost them a six figure sum to defend for no advantage, LS?

Don't their legal fees get paid by SISU if there's no case though? So if they genuinely don't have anything to hide it wouldn't cost them a penny?

I'm no expert on this though so I could be wrong.

Openness and transparency? Clear their name of the accusations?

When found innocent of all accusations they'll get their costs awarded to Sisu, so no risk at all is there?

Liked this by accident (obviously).

There's always a risk when going to court - why waste more tax payers' money on SISU's pathetic games?

According to Les Reid, Coventry City Council have lodged a defence to the Judicial Review:

Tom ‏@tomduncs
@IanMCalvert Well, said statement of facts was filed by the claimant SISU, yes? Is there a defence submitted yet? Need both for balance.

Ian M Calvert ‏@IanMCalvert
@tomduncs Not sure - have tried to find out, @Lesreidpolitics do you know if there is a defence to SoF?

Les Reid ‏@Lesreidpolitics:
@ianmcalvert @tomduncs yes. Coventry council response to Sisu/#CCFC judicial review lodged with High Court. Have applied for copy

Ian M Calvert ‏@IanMCalvert
@Lesreidpolitics @tomduncs When was this? I asked beginning of last week & #RCoJ said no defence received

Les Reid ‏@Lesreidpolitics:
@ianmcalvert @tomduncs Weeks ago admin court at Royal Courts of Justice told me response was lodged by Coventry council

It depends
What will Northampton earn from the ground share.
What will it cost them in legal fees.
Even if they (may) recoup the money eventually.
They may pull the plug on this.
It may prove more hassle than it is worth.
Especially considering whilst they are getting sued. SISU are in discussion with ACL.

However surely ACL should be considering suing the FL.

Firstly the ground share was only agreed as there was no alternative.

Well there has now been two

Secondly the club has to be out of administration otherwise a ground share can't happen. We are still in administration
