I know on some level, I should give a shit......but I don't.

Spent too many days reading about Admin, CVA, rent, legal this and legal that. Not many days reading or thinking about 4-4-2 vs 5-3-2, our new signings (none!) or our hopes of a play-off.

The enthusiasm has been sucked out of me. I'm not sure if even a return to CV6 will restore that, not with SISU in charge. Can't see them accepting ACL's offer and I can't see ACL signing the CVA - would understand if they didn't to be honest.

Thinking about doing something more enjoyable on Saturday. Maybe I should start that novel I've been itching to write.

I feel totally the same.
Thanks Richardson, Strachen, McGinty, SISU and CCC.
You have all had been part of lead up to total hopelessness.
47 years of support and yes could not give one for new season.

Couldn't agree more. I've no interest in the season for first time in my knowing life. The whole situation has actually tarnished my love of the game. Even down to the club I play for. Truly ripped the soul out of me. Thank you so much for that special SISU and co. As long as you're happy, right?

Ok so the off field stuff is complete tosh and is not going to get any better, quite simple really -DO NOT go to Northampton. Go the away games and SUPPORT your club!!! Get your arses into gear and go an away game, official away game and have an enjoyable day out! No need to cut off all ties.

Keane left because of Richardson wanting the profit and Keane forced out, Mcallister was virtually tapped up. Strachan is not blameless, but Richardson started this mess and Sisu just carrying it on.

Childish. He didn't sell Keane or make McAllister leave etc. He didn't relegate us on purpose.

Although I was clearly being flippant I stand by what I said.

The fact is that Strachan got us relegated with more money to spend than any other manager and with some of the best players we have had at our disposal.

He was tactically naïve, insisted on playing players out of position, stuck with favourites and failed to make substitutions until too late in the game when it had little or no effect. He may have not wanted McAllister and Keane to go but he certainly knew they were and then failed to replace them adequately. Even if you say he got "unlucky" with Bellamy, again he did not have the tactical nous to change it around, in either formation or style, and then failed to bring in anyone to support him until far too late.

This was a manager who failed to win away in a whole season, again with some of the best players we have had, could you see even a manager like Tony Pulis letting this happen? No, things would have been changed around and again this is where Strachan was woefully inept.

Even when we went down we had our best ever chance of getting back up the season after and he went and bought Lee Hughes (for 5 fucking million and one pound) but regardless of the price he should have had enough goals in him to fire us back up yet Strachan didn't play to his strengths!! He left him as a lone striker, when he'd always banged in most of his goals playing as a second striker, and gave him no support from the wings.

And let's not even get started on some of his signings!!!!

Regardless of who else is to blame for this utter shit pit that we currently find ourselves in the fact is our relegation from the Premier League started the spiral off....

Although Strachan got us relegated it isn't his fault that we haven't been in touching distance of automatic promotion or even the Championship playoffs for the past 10 years. He was sacked after 1st few games so cannot be blamed for not getting back up at the 1st attempt.

As for the new season absolutely no interest for the 1st time in 30+ years

I've said this before but I've been really wound up by the League adverts with fans of other clubs talking about how long they've supported them and how much they're looking forward to the new season.

The Football League is a pathetically run organisation in a country where in general the emphasis is on short term footballing success. They have helped ruin my enjoyment of the game and until Northampton is reversed I've no desire to watch any league football in this country.

For me it's money that has ruined the game these days. I know its not Coventry City but why not go to your local non-league club? I'll be at Bedworth Utd this year. I know the quality can be lacking but lower league football is still a good honest game not ruined by mega-bucks

I will actually be spending the next 4 years in Scotland-having already lived there for 4 of the last 5 years I'm quite into the domestic game up there. The quality is very poor but it is still unspoiled by commercialisation and outwith the Old Firm fan bases are drawn from local communities.

I will keep going to those games.

Gormless Strachan - my most HATED City manager of all time! Even now, when I see him on TV as a so-called "pundit", he makes me want to puke!

But surely if we wouldn't have got relegated in the first place we wouldn't have needed to get back up? Also, once we went down we were never going to have the same players/money to spend.

I'm certainly not blaming this all on Strachan but he certainly had his part to play.

yeah, because in the long list of managers we've had since Strachan we've had so many that would rank above him in managerial ability...

So you think if put in the same position as Strachan was in with the money and players at their disposal they would have done worse? Worse than not winning away all one season and then getting relegated the next?

I agree with CableGuy.

I've got rid of my ticket for Saturday and, quite by coincidence, will be visiting my olds in Coventry. Both of them are in care and not very well and I reckon I'll get more enjoyment from seeing them (even though they won't realise I've been to see them) than I will watching CCFC.

This whole sorry debacle has left a nasty after taste and my dream would be for my club to return to the days when playing football was a pleasure and not just an ever revolving source of doing business and making club owners fatter and richer. An over idealistic thought? Yes it is but I enjoyed supporting CCFC far more back in the late 70's/80's than I ever have since around the mid to late 90's.

Too all those who have contrived to wreck our wonderful club I say this.......Go fcuk yourselves!!

Not one penny more. Not for these clowns.

Sure thing bro, but if you never actually paid a penny how can you not pay a penny more? Didn't you used to post as Fortress Arena on GMK and do the match thread for every game? Were you doing those threads from the game?
