If ACL can sue Northampton for encouraging CCFC to break it's 40 years lease surely the Football League is equally complicit ?

i think going after northampton is to put more pressure on SISU to sign the deal to stay at the Ricoh and frighten northampton into sayin 'bollocks to this all this hassel is not worth it cov you are not playing here !' if that doesnt work i think the FL will be next on the list.

By allowing the move to Northampton their hands have just as much blood on as far as I'm concerned.

I would be very surprised if this hasn't already been discussed between ACL & their lawyers. Would look good for the Football league on their 125th anniversary wouldn't it...

But there is a difference between authorisation and and actually encouraging the situation. Yes they are active and potentially hold a degree of accountability but ultimately, should there be a liquidation, there'll be bigger fish to fry.

If they could prove that this situation had come about because of mistakes or breakdowns in FL proceedures or that they had been complicit in the events (intentionally or not) or had sought to cover up its mistakes or wrong doing they might have a case. Here is a thought (pure fantasy obviously) but the case to sue the FL would be stronger if it were ACL & CCFC suing together.

Have the FL breached their own rules - several times it appears to the average fan - but have they? I would guess only the FA disciplinary committee could investigate that

The lease hasn't been broken yet, but will be when ACL reject the CVA and Ltd is liquidated.

There is nothing to stop a commercial organisation leasing 2 properties.

They have guidelines which were not observed since when the situation has deteriorated.
