Oh OK, so when you said that ACL did it to keep us in Coventry you were just making it up? Fair enough, I didn't think there was a real plan behind ACLs rejection. Apart from spite maybe.

Not sure at all although didn't that nice poster true sky blue say that it isn't all over yet and a deal can still be done? I am actually seriously hoping that ACL have some master plan to counter the SISU one to move us to Sixfields and rejecting the CVA was part of that. The only thing it does I think give us is an investigation into the Ltd and hopefully all the connected companies. I'd rather it was everyone getting investigated but for a start this will do.

What apologist nonsense. Any professional business does due diligence to ensure all risks are assessed and mitigated. They did due diligence and then signed to take over contracts. You act like Sisu are dewy eyed, naive softies- they arent and never were. They just screwed up.

Maybe but ACL have held us to ransom and screwed the fans over got being greedy. They keep saying they font need the club to be profitable so why not help the club!

I can understand WHY ACL rejected. I really can. But for the life of me I can't really see how it helps Coventry City and us. The fans.

Why? Because it still keeps us in with a chance, torchy.

With the CVA signed, the deal is closed and there's nothing to stop SISU buggering off to Northampton forever. As things are there's going to be a challenge against the administrator's decision and/or the probablilty of further investigations into the asset transfers in CCFC Ltd, and continued pressure against the FL and NTFC. It keeps the fight going.

This all sounds a load of crap to me. Why not just buy Northampton if you want a club there.

ACL are only interested in themselves not the fans

Do you understand the concept of two parties negotiating and agreeing a contract? that isnt 'ransom' now is it?

CCFC negotiated the rental contract (its pricing and clauses) for months, it was agreed and signed off. Sisu did due diligence, okayed and took on the contract. Years later Sisu started moaning about the contract they took on. Then tried to distress the other party, because clearly the Sisu agenda changed- and despite ACL moving a lot, Sisu have brought us here.

As the owner, the buck stops with Sisu for the well being of CCFC- and the have utterly failed.

But could take years. The move to Northampton will still go ahead. ACL will still use the Arena for other things. Chances are ACLs chest beating with NTFC and the Football League will come to nothing...

Agreed but football has changed. With FFP it's based on income streams. The times change and so should the contract.

Can't people get it in their head that sisu and ACL don't seem to have the fans interests at heart.

What a pile of shit you write - the only ones squirming are acl - the league have rejected their complaint already and they have no chance of winning a court case with sisu or Northampton- acl are finished and have lost all credibility - a busted flush .

The game is up and both sisu and acl can hold their heads in shame.

I know i may well be censored, but i have to say it. You sir a fucking twat. Why was the CVA needed in the first place. Shitsu refuse to pay ANY rent for the ground. ACL refuse to let them squat and demand their legally owed rent. I don't care if it was too much or not they OWED it. Then they say CCFC is close to liquidation, to stop that happening ACL go for administration but SHITSU got in first. Appointed their crony Appleton and the rest is history. Yes it's all ACL/CCC fault isn't it.

I have no idea what you're on about. Just repeating the same load of rubbish doesn't make it true, it just makes for more rubbish.

What would you have done mate, seriously. Faced with SISU and their total unwillingness to negotiate in good faith, what would you have done?

Sheffield Wednesday fan in peace. Just wanted to say I was really saddened to see that your club has gone into liquidation. You the fans definitely don't deserve this and I wish you a speedy route out of the mess and back competing at a higher level where you belong.

Cheers owl

So the council have got a £100m stadium for £24m but we're pay the loan and you think that's ok.

I don't want sisu running us, I also the club to own it's home!

I was simply highlighting what I believe to be an inaccuracy in your statement that ACL have made £8m. The build costs of the stadium haven't been completely paid for yet. The stadium was built for the club and the club should be playing in it. I would be delighted to see the club and the stadium re-united in one company but personally I would struggle to trust Sisu with ownership of the stadium because I am concerned about whether they would keep the stadium in the same company as the football club. The issues surrounding the network of companies that own the football club highlight the difficulties. Maybe a covenant could negate that concern - but would Sisu agree to that?

Why would anyone want to relocate to Northampton. I could see the otherwise round.

I believe sisu tried to buy the Higgs share and the council vetoed it ( correct me if I'm wrong) so how are The council and ACL so much better?

SISU could have bought their way into the income streams via the Higgs 50% at any point.

But rather than that they whined about the rent.

Then when they got what they said was a fair offer on the rent, it suddenly became about income streams. But oddly, they never even entered into serious discussion about that.

There's nothing stopping them agreeing to play at the Ricoh whilst they build a new stadium, if it really was about income streams, or even negotiating a better deal whilst in situ.

But they're not going to do that. Because it's fuck all to do with either rent or FFP, it's about getting their hands on the Ricoh for as little as possible. And to do that they really will fuck everyone over. And yet it's ACL's fault.

Unbelieveable

It doesn't give access to income. It just buys a part share in the vehicle running it. Also in sure the council vetoed their attempted purchase of the Higgs shares but could be wrong.

Where have you seen any evidence for that? Everything that I've read says that Higgs were ready to do a deal, SISU walked away.

In fact SISU have walked away from every deal - ACL haven't. That's how I can put the blame at SISU's door, rather than ACL or the Council.

No I was actually not saying that ACL rejecting the CVA would keep us in Coventry when I first posted this

My worry has always been that ACL weren't bluffing when they said that they can survive without CCFC and they manage to do so*. We're then homeless and in need of the White Elephant that Young Timothy claims he will build, well does anyone really think they'll build it? So we're likely never to return to Coventry under SISU ownership which is just F*cking great.

*I'd put money on more legal challenges from SISU now to try and stop that being possible.

When I said

Just a thought

I was actually posing a question rather than saying something definitive, and I'm sorry that should have had a question mark after it (time for an edit). Apologies for any confusion.
I don't think ACL would be vindictive given all the attempts with lower rent etc. they've made to keep our club in Coventry. I agree though that I've got no inside info on why they didn't sign it and just assumed that in some way not signing it might make SISU drop the Sixfields move as SISU seemed hell bent on getting the CVA signed.

Excellent post tsb and very true!

If you don't want to go to Northampton its your choice but burbage, good job bristol rovers fans stayed loyal to their club at bath - and rose again unlike too many on here who threw in the towel far too easily - get to sixfields and support the team - they need you now more than ever.

Maybe we can support the team better by not going to Northampton and forcing change in things that way. I could just as easily say that you're throwing in the towel by letting SISU win.

From reports elsewhere, I think you'll find that the team do not want to play there either. Pressure from fans and players will eventually see a team representing Coventry, IN Coventry !

None of the players want to play there, 99% of fans wont go there. I imagine there will be a club representing COVENTRY in the very near future. Hopefully partly owned by fans and I will make it a personal mission to ensure TSB stays the fuck away from having any say in that club.

Yawn. Actually, I feel sorry for you.

You'd have me believe that you think ACL did this out of spite. But I can't believe that that's your honest opinion because it's so utterly implausible.

So presumably the one bit of fun you get in life is to sit there winding people up. You're in for a good day today no doubt. but overall it's a pretty sad existence.

SISU agree heads of terms with the Higgs, I believe this was during the rent boycott. PWKH said that they had heard nothing from them since then but would still sell to them. I think the council have said that they would veto any sale of the Higgs shares to SISU. However as no attempt to purchase from the Higgs has taken place the council can't have vetoed the sale yet. As Ltd is likely to be liquidated the option with the club would die and anyone could do a deal with the Higgs which could include PH4 or anyone else.

You've got to work for Sisu, even though I'm not a CCFC fan your posts are ridiculous unless that's the case! Get your Sisu rose coloured glasses off and look at things clearly. That's just a sincere suggestion by the way.
