Do you think there is such a thing as a lucky professional footballer? (2 Viewers)

No-one has ever stated that Shaw was a great player - he was solid, as demonstrated by his 600 game career. Never that good, but never as bad you're trying to portray. Keep trolling though, it's all a bit of craic.

"never that good" but City fans in their infinite wisdom voted him player of the year, in the same season Roland Nilsson was brilliant for us, and that's why my opinion of a great majority of City fans is what it is, and also why they get what they deserve with us being a poor Championship outfit and likely to go out if business.

So you think you're better than the majority of Cov fans? Is that this boils down to? Your opinion is just that, an opinion.

Glad you mention Roland Nilsson though, one of the finest right backs the Premier League has seen. Still can't see why he was sacked either, he was doing a "solid" job.

I am better than any Cov fan who rated Shaw, that is without doubt.

Agree on Nilsson, I'm amazed he didn't play for one of the big clubs when he was in his prime.

How soon we forget. Four pages and not one mention for £8k p/w Kevin Kyle, £8k p/w Michael Doyle, or £12k p/w Freddie Eastwood. :(

michael carrick is my pick

A vastly overrated player I must agree. He's fine when he has time on the ball and can spray passes around, (which is easier in most games Manure feature in) but the minute the quality of the opposition goes up a gear he is constantly found wanting.

Good shout.
