Would the Trust ever support or put to its members a vote to start a phoenix club?

If yes,

What time-frame would you give the SISU related companies, to return Coventry City to Coventry before this goes on the agenda?

Trouble is on a time frame can you trust Sisu's 3-5 year plan.

Not sure his post says he is giving up. Was just a simple question.

Problem is at some point you have to call it a lost cause. By the time SISU build their new tinpot stadium we will likely be over £100 million in debt. Who will pay that kind of money for a league 1 (or lower) club. The club may be dragged out for a bit but it won't be able to be saved. Will just be a very long, very slow death.

Not saying now is the time to give up but it doesn't hurt to plan for every eventuality. Plans may need to be put in place quickly.

In terms of when such a club may start, I believe there will be a fan owned breakaway formed in time for next season with or without the backing of the trust.

The simple answer is yes. Time frame would be decided by the fans / members of the trust.
But let's not give up on CCFC just yet

These "protests" with 3 or 4 people are just plain embarassing! Not only did just the people who "organised" it just turn up, but they did it after all the people at the FA had left!

Whilst it may help "at least I did something" minded, all this does is highlight to those making the decisions that the protests are dying down. After all that guy who spent years camp outside parliament did nothing to highlight his case - all it di is make him look at best an eccentric at worst a crazy lunatic! Sadly it is starting to look the same with these trust protests! 3 or 4 turning up is just an eccentric group of extremists. And these people want to be involved in running the club!

Its time to admit they have failed and get squarely behind the NOPM (which they cannot because they previously said quite clearly they will not get behind it!). Protests never work, its starving of money that always does!

The trust has failed, time for the fans to do what these self appointed clowns never really tried to do - starve the scum out

Do you realise that it was the NOPM guys who organised this protest?

Comment is somewhat off topic too, did you mean to post in the thread for the protest?

As has been stated we have explored the possibility for a phoenix club if CCFC was ever liquidated and a new club had to be formed. As things stand we are focused totally on getting the team back to its home - Coventry In Coventry. Should in the future either SISU liquidate the club or it is crystal clear they have no plans to come back then we would put plans into operation but as long as there is a CCFC we will concentrate on that.

Not really ! - The trust took over the admin of the NOPM (or did you conveniently forget that?) some while ago. They also at the same time as taking over the campaign said they wouldn't back the NOPM campaign - which shows how inconsistent these people are!

If you are going to defend these unaccountable loons at leaqst get your facts straight! How many times have their protests failed - all bar one! They have systematically failed on all counts. They say they want to be in charge of the club but have either refused or just plain failed to do anything about it. Indeed the only fund raising they did was based on a lie (they said in the telegraph that funds from those wristbands was for charity, yet low and behold when they advertised on ebay all proceeds was for the trust!)

I'm sorry but anyone who will profiteer from a charity match (again this has been their only overt fundraising campaign on the back of a charity match!) they simply do not deserve and have most definitely do not deserve to be in charge of ccfc.

It is laughable how naive people keep asking for these low lifes to form a new club - that will never happen. They are more than happy to take any reflected glory but ask them to arrange the formation of a club or run it - the sky blues trust is doomed to extinction - already one of the founders has taken a back seat (more than likely ousted but will not come public as they did under the SOC)

Eventually the trust (a disgraceful use of the term) is run by self publicising idiots who cannot even follow their own rules, act in the same way as sisu, yet expect to be handed the keys to coventry city. When they are run by tossers they have now what else would you expect! When their agm failed to allow all their members to attend, they systematically ignoere their members, are criticised by supporter's direct they are ultimatelty not fit to run the club - and never have been!

Just out of curiosity what are YOU actually doing to help CCFC?

Do you have an alternative campaign we could all unite against?

PSGM1 IS BACK !

Hello Mr Idiot, been reading your letters on other sites.

Exactly what I thought. The posts are still way off topic for this thread too.

I have been critical at times of the trust but can also see the good things they do. It does seem to me though that personal opinions are being followed on the Phoenix/breakaway club issue rather than members feelings. Would like to see a vote at some point on this (not yet, maybe a bit later in the season). Only then can they really comment on whether they back this or not rather than giving their own personal opinions.

Presumably by your comment here you would be happy to wait 5, maybe even 10 years for a new stadium to be built. I can't personally wait that long when there is a perfectly good stadium sat there (in fact it's one of the best stadia in the country).

95% of clubs in this country would do anything to have a stadium like the Ricoh. I may be wrong but i cannot think of a stadium which offers more for fans anywhere in the country. The largest casino in the country is next door we have a hotel, bars, retail park all within the same complex.

NO to Phoenix club. NO to AFC. NO to United. We are CCFC and always will be. Dont give up. FFS this club is 130 years its worth more than giving up

And the capacity to make it even better! with a frankie and bennies and chico what ever it's name is surely a few nice bars will follow???? it has alot of potential

We all agree with that statement it is just a last resort. I want another 130 years of a Coventry team so when SISU finally put the last nail in the coffin and we have no club a reformation will be processed however we will take all honours and other things

Correct, so much developmental land (hence the councils reluctantcy to sell) but you be careful in wanting an owner who actually has interests in the actual football club rather than the land surrounding the stadium

With all this "potential" you'd have thought that somebody would have already been looking to exploit it.

Can I just accentuate my approval of this position with more than a like? ;)

At what point is the last resort?

To my mind SISU will hold this club to ransom for as long as it takes and with ACL and CCC refusing to negotiate with terrorists, we have ourselves a stalemate.

Is it when the club is in the conference and no sale from SISU?

Maybe when we are in the Spartan Midlands Alliance?

Could someone clarify the rules as I fear the fanbase will dwindle to hundreds before we take matters out of SISU control.
