Think he deserves a mention after today!

I thought he offered us a lot more than Baker, both defensively and attacking.

I'm not saying he's better than Baker, as he still too young and pretty inexperienced in comparison, but i thought he did very well.

From what Ive read and heard from Northampton attendees he was decent again Bristol too!

I've been a critic of him in the past, thinking he may not cut it, but even Pressley commented post Mach that we have a decent player on his hands and I think I agree!

I certainly hope he's not dropped after Bakers ban just because its Baker coming back! Baker should be made to earn his place back, and Daniels is certainly doing everything right to make it a difficult job for Pressley!

How can you be a critic of him in the past when he's only played a handful of games for us so far in his career? Just curious, you may have taken in a lot of 2nd team games / youth team stuff that gives you a fair say. Just seems an odd comment.

What's his actual position? I was under the impression he was a holding midfielder last season, but he's more advanced at the moment I take it?

Need to stop writing young players off (not saying you did this sw88). A lot of our youngsters were blooded before they were ready due to circumstance. Think we have a good bunch of promising academy youngsters at the moment in Thomas, Christie, Willis, Daniel, Wilson & J Clarke.

Hope SISU to not get rid of the academy. It is something to be proud of. Where would we have been this year without it!

It's not likely considering its providing the first team! Getting the academy right is one area Sisu (or perhaps Ranson) deserves credit for. Rioch has done a fantastic job.

'I thought he offered us a lot more than Baker, both defensively and attacking' He's had two good games against teams with shocking back fours whereas Baker did it game in game out last season scoring 15 and getting 14 assists...lets not jump the gun with three league games gone

Baker is the sort of player that will come back and work for his place.
Which is a good thing.

Critic was probably a poor choice of word.

I just felt that when I seem him in previous seasons, he didn't look like he could cut it. Difficult to put into words without sounding critical.

I guess it's why I'm a mere football fan and not a scout or manager :)

As I am sorry for writing off so soon into his career (bearing in mind he'd have been 18/19 when I first saw him) and am glad he's goin on to prove me wrong

sw88 you are entitled to say what you think and you justified your opinion and admitted you were wrong on this occasion but we all misjudge players sometimes, that's life, case closed pusb

Lets not burn the lad out though, it's a long season after all. Give him three or four games then a rest IMO. Same with Wilson once Mansets up to speed.

Seeing as Ranson was going to close it as one of his first acts as Chairman it's hard to see how he could be given any credit for it.
