So rumours are he has just signed a contract with us (Bury FC).

Opinions on him?

Inconsistent. Good player on his day can command the back 4. Useless with the ball however best to keep a player 5 yards away for a quick pass. other than that can be a good player a good signing I for one, was surprised he was ousted.

He's so good that we preferred to leave him completely out of the squad and play kids. Seriously though he seems like a great bloke so I hope he does well for you, he has been treated badly here.

Crap, along with his French mate Kevin Malaga.

He is okay when it comes to getting his head on the ball. Other than that, he's not really a good defender. the amount of times last season he was turned way too easily by a striker. But like others are saying, he seems like a real nice guy, so I wish him the best.

Enigma. Never gave Marlon King a sniff in the League Cup, thought we'd unearthed a gem that night. Suspect distribution and sometimes dominated by smaller forwards, although with time and confidence he may find his groove. Don't think Robins was sure, but Pressley didn't take long to make up his mind. Don't think excessive wages were a factor as he was on a 'new' contract. Either way, good bloke as I understand and always gave 100%. Good luck to him-hope it works out.

these people saying he wasn't that good were probably the ones begging for him back before saturday's game

I'm a nice guy, avery nice guy, doesn't make me a decent centre-half though.

was not the best, was solid enough for L1 though, Dosn't deserve the way he has been treated here though, good luck to him if he's got a new club, seen Mcsheff saying the bomb squad is down to 2

Decent player, good bloke, will be a hit with the fans even if his performances are below par.

Sad to see him go but we need better players than him if we're to move forward.

We were at our most successful when he was in the team last year. At League 2 level he's a good signing. Robins rated him !

I thought for the size of Edge he could of been stronger, had Marlon King in his pocket against Brum that night but looked stranded at sea against Crewe in the JPT, overall not a bad player wouldn't say he would set the world alight in League 1, will do well in League 2.

League 2 is about his level, could probably do a job in league 1 if he had a good centre back alongside him

He wouldn't have been first on my exit list but am not to bothered he has gone, opens up 2 available squad places to Pressley with Dunn gone aswell

The weakest part of his game is he has the change of direction of a double decker bus. The rest of his game was ok, maybe not as aggressive as he could have been. Good signing for a L2 team, could still easily perform at L1 level

What you will get from him is someone who is awesome with fans 1-2-1 and social media alike. Someone who will go the extra mile in all the extra curricular activities (Edj-Cam at the JPT Christmas Party). A decent enough defender, a bit error prone and seems to need someone confident egging him on.

I think it's fair to say everyone liked the Edj but not everyone would've had him in their starting line up last season.

We were also at our most successful with mcgoldrick upfront....

The stats are:

Edge started 29 games, playing 33 times last season at which we conceded 35 goals in this time.

In the 13 games Edge didn't appear at all we conceded 20 goals.

I think you got your stats mixed up.
In the league we conceded 41 goals in the 33 games he featured and 18 in the 13 he didn't feature.

He also featured in our biggest defeats of the season 4-1 at Shrewsbury, 4-0 at Walsall, 6-0 at arsenal, not to mention the 3-0 JPT loss

The key to his ability is in who has signed him. A league two club. End of the debate really. A poor player. One hundred per cent commitment but not a league one standard defender.

I only considered the League Fixtures should have made that clear, I was at work and in a rush as well, so my stats might be messed.
