Here's an Idea that might just give our Timmy diarrhoea (2 Viewers)

Coventry Sphinx play Highgate United on Monday at 3pm at Sphinx Lane, Coventry.

They are hoping for as many fans as possible.

Here's 10 x good reasons why we should all go and support them on Monday:

1/ A really good showing of say 500 would send a clear message to Timmy
2/ Lots of CCFC fans have already committed to this game. & they are expecting a bumper gate.
3/ We can all go whether or not you went to Sixfields or the Ricoh on Sunday
4/ They play in Sky Blue and carry the name of Coventry for the City of Coventry.
5/ They are the biggest local side playing competitive football in the City of Coventry.
6/ You would be supporting local football & they would certainly appreciate the extra revenue.
7/ You would get to see them play in Coventry and not 35 miles away.
8/ They have a bar open before the game and parking shouldn't be a problem.
9/ Gets you away from the boring bank holiday kid centric TV.
10/ It would be good to get away from the politics surrounding CCFC

Forget all this nonsense about not being able to support another team, of course you can. It's not about abandoning CCFC, it's about adopting another team to support as well & more importantly it's about sending the right messages and having a good time doing it.

p.s. I am not connected in anyway to Coventry Sphinx & have never been to a game before.. But I am going to this one.

Careful Northern, you do realise that was a response to RFC! (or have even you cottoned onto the fact that he's a bit of a stuck record!) ;););)

I had noticed ;)

but, hell, people still hit up his shtick so I figured I may as well join in ;)

I like the idea of supporting Sphinx, but I don't really see it causing Fisher much of a headache unless it coincides with a Cov game.

I'm not going, I'm supporting the Sky Blues @ Sixfields. My choice, PUSB!

Maybe not, but Sphinx's average gate last year was 65, if they get 500 tomorrow (they are expecting a bumper gate) a 1/3 of the CCFC fans at Sixfields it can't be ignored
