Thanks Steve for putting money in Sisu. I get the enjoyment of listening on the radio than giving money to those scum bags. You carry on enjoying Northampton as it won't last for long. But for now ENJOY

Love how some think that sitting on their arse at home on matchdays constitutes 'saving the club'. It is apathy, pure and simple. Trying to dress it up as a 'moral' stance is self-indulgent guff.

I have much more respect for people like simple_simon who actually try to do something (even if he can't count ;)) and make themselves and their protest visible.

Media have lost interest because of this apathy. Sympathy from other fans will ebb away (and to an extent already has). SISU are playing the long game, and if the boycott does work it will take a long time, by which time the club will be dead anyway. If you really care about the club, get off your arse and do something. An orchestrated mass protest in the ground would receive much more air time and exposure, but no, let's all stay at home and mow the lawn because that's the only way to keep your self-respect apparently.

Look at the end of the day we are all doing what we feel is right I feel that I can't watch them play home games in a a place that is not in Coventry it hurts but that is how it will stay, and the longer this goes on the more fans they will loose if they ever return as people will get used to not going anymore as thousands have done before.
The youth of this City will start supporting other clubs on a larger scale and that will eventually kill our club or confine them to the lower leagues as they will have very little support.

PUSB I hope I am wrong...................

What's killing the club is lack of cohesive message from the fans (and Rupert Murdoch but that's been going on for years).

Both sides need to stop the rheortic.

I'd also argue that you are no person to decide how best to manifest my feelings of disgust towards the club. It kills me to not go and I don't appreciate you insinuating I'm mowing the lawn when city are playing.

No not a stupid protest, just go to Sixfields and do something positive ( just for a change), SUPPORT THE MANAGER, PLAYERS, TEAM & FOOTBALL BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE DAY, that's what it's all about.
Football my team but not the 'politics'. PUSB,
Bring on Colchester!

I get all that. It's just all this 'self-respect' stuff that grates. People arguing that staying at home is the 'hard' option; for some perhaps, but for many staying at home and not going to games is what they have done for years. For them, it is the EASY option.

Agree, we need a coherent message, and I would prefer orchestrated protests in the ground; show a bit of originality to keep the issue in the media, be vocal, passionate and forthright. NOPM might work long term, but it WILL be a long term, and like I say, club might be dead by then anyway. Too much at stake just to sit at home all smug and self-righteous (not all but some) thinking you're on some moral crusade. Anyway, this has all been done to death and I am boring myself.

Just can't relate to a club playing in Northampton.

To be honest I still believe we are coming back to the Ricoh in the next few weeks and by staying away SISU will realise that.

If it doesn't work I will just give up on my team. Today I couldn't get an Internet feed for the score but was not bothered. I think my withdrawal has started.

Agreed. That's why I can't wait for Shrewsbury next week now. Lets all get back to what we agree on.

I agree - we are missing out, & it hurts too. principle & determination to get the best result for the club is via this route though IMO. Understand & accept that mot everyone feels likewise.
Can catch the entertainment at the TRUE away games though.

Your message I interpreted as either mocking or trying to cajole others to change their stance. I disapprove of both TBH.

You're killing it by not going. The players need support,we have a bloody good side

It will be sold soon. They can't keep a good side together without income. Maybe there is a bigger stadium closer to home. After all, 1500 fans rattling around a 7500 capacity stadium must be pretty dull. You are welcome to your gloating.

Will sing from the hill and be at every away game but not backing SISU or Fisher by showing my support for taking my club away.
Do you genuinely believe we will ever return to Coventry under these people?

Regardless of anything else, only one company has moved us away, if they have the money to cover the losses they are making, the money to show the FL they have, the money to build a new stadium then they should have paid what they owed and then negotiated a new deal.

Your all just adding nails to our coffin.

I'll have you know that I have been very busy. Painting and decorating, shopping in Ikea, buying door handles etc. I also listen to CWR match commentary and feel the pain. But, I will not travel to Northampton. So I guess I will spend my money on diy and browsing in local furniture stores.

Steve your choice to go. But do not say I am being self righteous by staying away from Sixfields. I have been a season ticket holder for 27 years and only stopped for the 5 years I was living away from Coventry from the last 38 years. It is killing me not going but when the club is called COVENTRY City guess where it should be playing? Grow up and let people have a different opinion to your own.

So what if nopm does work ? It will be down to the fans that have boycotted six fields not the ones that have gone...remember that when your sat back in the ricoh watching your team in your city,.And by the looks of it they play better in front of 600 fans so they don't need us there anyway.
