Months ago they were going to reveal to everyone the real extent of the fighting fund.

Still waiting guys!

Are you ever going to tell your members where this fund stands?

Or is it just being used to pay for the fuel to go to sixfields & keep the guy making the banners in business?

What about the newspaper spread? Or is the fighting fund just a fund for the board to use for themselves?

Your silence as always is deafening

Yeah but others pay at Sixfields and that goes to the Cayman Islands....
But to be serious, of course the Trust need to be open and transparent, especially re funding.

There is nothing to stop them running to Spain with everyones money. But people still donate

Yeah. Only, you know "the law". You do know the Trust is a recognised organisation with clear rules on finance don't you?

Unless they disband/liquidate the trust. If they are clever enough to get 5000 people to donate at least £1 each then I am sure they can work a way ro get away with the cash.

Had a quick look to see how much an advert is with the Telegraph but no luck - think you have to ask for a quote. However, to advertise in the Liverpool Echo (also owned by Trinity Mirror) is £7888, so you are looking at around £10,000 to £12,000 plus VAT for your double page spread. Good value for money?

However, surely its obvious that they are all working for free and in their spare time. Most, if not all will have day jobs. If they were looking to line their own pockets, as I think you are suggesting, there are far simpler ways to do than taking from the trust. The trust is always going to be subject to public scrutiny and so high risk.

Alright. Tell you what. If the board run off with your money I'll personally report the Chair to the police. Unless you're implying this money will be enough to start a new life?

presume you are talking about me?

Well I suggest you join the Trust then come to a meeting sit down with our Accountant and Book keeper, they will tell you to the penny how much is in both accounts.

1) I pay for my own fuel via my company.
2) All banners and leaflets are donated free of charge.
3) No idea what your talking about regarding a Newspaper spread
3) Me Silent, you do not know me, am never quiet

We are very tranparent, if you join the Trust I will meet you at the open meeting with other members on Sept 2nd where anyone can ask anything they wish.

Society is so cynical
There is no evidence to suggest any wrong doing by any sky blue trust member and yet threads like this?
Im.not. a fee paying member but respect their efforts.
Good luck to them in bringing the sky blues home.

McGinity saw an opportunity to make money after reading the Taylor report and so started up a company making plastic seats for sports venues. He made a fortune, so much so he ended up putting some of his money into the Club, whilst no doubt charging the club full whack for any seats purchased when redeveloping the Kop etc.

Andrew Turbitt is on the board of SBT and runs a printing business. I'm not a member of the trust but I will run round Broadgate stark bollock naked if he has charged more than the full commercial rate when printing up any leaflets (if indeed his company has done any of the printing). I'd suggest he will have done it at cost, maybe even below cost.

Its a case of priorities. And lining their own pockets is not going to be high on the list for members of the trust.

It is Andy, he is a very hard working individual and its way of helping the Trust, as are most people on the Board.

Now you have got me really worried, I gave a £1,and now it seems you are suggesting I have unwittingly given money to a criminal group possibly heading off to sunny Spain at my expense.;) I feel such a mug, don't suppose you have got the number of SISU's legal representatives.:thinking about:

Sorry, what are you asking?

If your my accountant it was fuel used for a business meeting lol

I just find a few ironic twists in this single statement & subsequent response.
You are, for the sake of argument we'll keep it tame, "tweaking" your business miles to avoid some kind of personal out-of-pocket payment...& you are not being transparent with your accountant by lying to him...& downright dishonest in avoidance of tax.
Skyblue "Trust"...lol
I applaud your organisations efforts to get what we all really want, but I think my original sentiments about the trust would/will come to fruition too. Power is a marvellous corrupter.

'Downright dishonest in avoidance of tax'

A couple of miles of a possibly questionable petrol/mileage claim (from a completely separate legal entity to the Trust) and the Trust members are up there with the bankers.

Are you now going to now start a campaign against the use of tax 'efficiencies' where certain investment vehicles etc base their parent companies in off shore tax havens, redistributing funds on a massive scale that undermines national budgets by the lack of profits to be subjected to tax? Steve's petrol claim pales into insignificance by comparison, if he chooses to make it.

But well spotted. Power is a marvellous corrupter. SISU have the power to take the club out of the city and yet some people still support their 'plans' regardless and have a pop at the largely powerless SBT.

If people are that worried they should have gone to the last meeting at the squirrel this was open to everyone.
The annual report was read out to everyone and the books on display.

Now for someone to accuse a Trust organisation of fiddling is utter scandalous without any proof what so ever.

They have 2000 or so members all paid £1.00 they have had a couple of fund raising do's and some members would have paid more then a pound.

So how much do you expect them to have?

Oh it must be millions maybe they could pay off the club debts with it?

Come on Smart Ass you know it all

First you come on here shouting how you were a General in the SAS now you have come back as a fucking pirate so captain Pugwash what a Walter Mitty you really are.

I am a member of the trust I help out when I can it takes up a lot of my spare time but I only do a fraction of what a lot of the others do.

We all do it for a reason our love for CCFC some believe that going to games will help us others boycotting and demonstrating then theirs you NOTHING absolutely fuck all

But PWKH said Mcginnity didn't kit out Ricoh, though am sure his company did seat the East stand at Highfield Rd.
Mcginnity is definately one of the reasons the club is in the state it is along with others!

What I am talking is the principle of the right or wrong. You are applying scale.
Mr Taxman progressively tightens his grip on people (such as me) through the PAYE system that haven't the option to apply such "tweaking" when going about their lives.

Let me just clarify my fuel costs. I said they are paid 'via my company' which is by means of a company fuel card that fills my car with fuel each and every week, I then re-imburse the company for my private mileage!!! But the point I was making is that none of the trust board claim any fuel costs from the Trusts fighting fund!!!!!
